Surgery was good, however the billing department is extremely unprofessional and incompetent. They will not respond to the insurance requirements/request or patient phone calls. I have been trying to contact billing for 2 months and my insurance company has called them on 4-5 occasions on my behalf, and still NO response as of 8/20/25. The surgery was performed in early April 2025. Shame on USA Health - Baldwin County Surgery Center- Fairhope, Alabama Update 9/11/25 -- a line of communications have been established in a joint effort to resolve this issue. Will update this post as needed.... Jim

Baldwin County Surgery Center operates more like an assembly line than a healthcare facility. Patients are placed in curtained bays with no real privacy. The standard of care is subpar, with numerous concerns that can’t all be listed. The healthcare provider's actions of patient safety fell below the accepted standard, leading to physical injury to me, the patient. Patients are treated as numbers, not individuals. Do your research before going here. Speaking from my experience only! Melinda Madden

I want to thank Dr Barfield my pain doctor and the anesthesia team that took care of me yesterday on5/20/25. Their kindness and thoughtfulness and care exceeded all expectations. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is having any procedure done to utilize this facility. My experience was one of exceptional quality. I left their feeling like a new person and when I woke up this morning I feel even better. Thank you so much for these kind and considerate people who took the time to make sure that I was well taken care of.

Fifteen months ago I had cataract surgery on both eyes. The center insisted on payment up front. I do not have vision insurance. So any payment they were to receive was from Medicare and me personally. They checked with Medicare and determined what my payment would be and insisted on total payment in advance. I paid an additional approximately $500 for each eye for an addition procedure which was “supposed” to give me an added level of vision. Additionally, they were in the process of moving their surgery center so there was an additional $500 per eye above the amount quoted. All paid in advance. Currently, my vision is no better than people I know that just had the standard surgery. They broke a blood vessel in my right eye, which they claim is eye strain and will go away. After 15 months it’s still here. Now they are sending me a bill for over $500 and saying it’s a balance my insurance didn’t pay. I don’t have vision insurance!!! I paid in advance! They got all their money up front 15 months ago. Be ware! All they want is your money for terrible service. When I finely got my surgery the surgeon said you needed this 2 years ago. I told him when I came the last 2 years to the center I begged for the surgery because I couldn’t see and they told me I wasn’t bad enough yet!!!

Extremely professional and nice. Felt very comfortable beginning and end of my procedure. Each interaction was genuinely amazing! First surgery and felt like I had friends all around me. Thank you to the entire staff!
