Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

ColonoscopyA flexible camera examines the full length of the colon to screen for cancer and remove polyps before they become cancerous. Done under sedation, it typically takes 30 to 60 minutes. The bowel prep the day before is the part most patients find hardest.Upper Endoscopy (EGD)A thin camera passed through the mouth examines the esophagus, stomach, and the first part of the small intestine. Used to investigate persistent heartburn, difficulty swallowing, unexplained bleeding, or abdominal pain. Usually takes 15 to 30 minutes under sedation.Flexible SigmoidoscopyExamines the lower portion of the colon only, rather than its full length. Preparation is lighter than a full colonoscopy and sedation is sometimes unnecessary, but it cannot detect problems higher in the colon.Capsule EndoscopyYou swallow a vitamin-sized camera that photographs the small intestine as it passes through — a region that standard scopes cannot easily reach. There is no sedation and no recovery. The capsule passes naturally, and images are reviewed after the fact.ERCPCombines endoscopy and X-ray imaging to diagnose and treat blockages in the bile and pancreatic ducts, most often gallstones stuck in a duct. Unlike a routine endoscopy, it carries a meaningful risk of pancreatitis afterward, so it is used when treatment is likely rather than for screening alone.Hemorrhoid TreatmentShrinks or removes swollen veins in the rectum and anus using rubber band ligation, injection, or surgical removal depending on severity. Banding is quick and typically requires no anesthesia; surgical removal is more effective for advanced cases but recovery is noticeably more uncomfortable.

Do not go here. If I could give zero stars, I would. First of all, you can't make payments. I call the number to billing every month and get a voicemail, in which I leave my name and phone number and tell them I need to make a payment. They never call back. My last appointment, I needed to reschedule because my child had the flu. I called and got sent to voicemail, I left a message saying I needed to reschedule and was never called back. I called a few weeks later to reschedule and was sent to voicemail again, they never responded. I've been trying to pay my bill for over 6 months now and they won't call me back!!!!!!! Don't use them. They dont want your money. They have one person on their call line and she's always on break. Save your time. Go somewhere else.

My experience was great! From the lady at the check-in counter to the nurse that walked me to the car, everything was first class. I highly recommend this place. And not having to go to the surgery center or hospital makes it even better. You just go to their office and it is all done right there.

Be careful if you do not want a high bill. Last colonoscopy i had by Dr Roath was fully covered by my insurance. Next one i got done she did it at a different location, which apparently my insurance didn’t cover so i received a $544 bill. How am i suppose to know that? They never told me ahead of time and when i tried to get them to reduce the bill, even a LITTLE they weren’t willing to help out. Not going back.

This place was awesome 15years ago, when Dr. Tietke was still there. The staff now sucks, it's hard to get in touch with anyone about anything. The only saving grace is the Nurse Practioner. I would suggest seeking other Dr's as this place is a waste of time.

This facility has put a derogatory mark on my credit file. Date of service August 2020. I moved out of Alabama August 2018 and have PROOF... they refuse to remove from my credit file. I have disputed with transunion and won my case BUT the office manager won’t remove! DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. THE OFFICE STAFF WILL STEAL your identity and wreck havoc on your credit report. I have called and spoke to them and they can’t even provide records for me!!!! UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNETHICAL
