Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Epidural Steroid InjectionsSteroid medication is injected near irritated spinal nerve roots to calm inflammation causing sciatica or arm pain. Often used to make physical therapy tolerable rather than as a standalone cure. There are limits on how frequently they can be repeated.Nerve Block InjectionsAnesthetic, sometimes with steroid, is injected around a specific nerve to interrupt pain signals. Used both to treat pain and to identify its source, since relief from a precisely placed block points to the nerve responsible.Radiofrequency AblationHeat generated by radio waves disables the small nerves carrying pain signals from an arthritic spinal joint. Relief commonly lasts six months to two years. Because the nerves regenerate over time, the procedure can be repeated.Spinal Cord StimulationA device delivers mild electrical pulses to the spinal cord to interrupt chronic pain signals before they reach the brain. A temporary trial period is done first, so you can judge the benefit before committing to a permanent implant.Joint InjectionsSteroid or lubricating medication is injected directly into an arthritic or inflamed joint. Image guidance is often used to confirm placement. Relief typically lasts weeks to months and can make physical therapy more productive.Trigger Point InjectionsA local anesthetic is injected into a taut, tender knot of muscle to break the spasm-and-pain cycle. The appointment takes minutes and you can usually return to normal activity the same day.

Everyone was so nice, explained everything so well. Everything from check in with Lynne, who was absolutely so kind, to the nurses, the anesthesia, all of it was a great experience. As far as an experience can be when having a procedure.

I have never been here before and my first experience was great. Very well organized starting with the phone call for pre-op instructions, checking in at the front desk pre-op, minor procedure , post-op, checking out. Everyone was professional and they obviously have a great team who takes pride in their cleaning of the facilities as it felt and looked clean. I noticed that the nurses in the pre-op/post-op weren't sitting around at the desk eating in front of their starving patiences who couldn't eat, (it's the small things that patients notice) 😊. I have experienced that in hospitals and I find it unprofessional. Overall I highly recommend this Surgery Center of Wasilla - Lisa 4/4/2025

The staff was wonderful! They brought me extra warm blankets, and were checking on me that I was doing great before surgery. Loved the friendliness of all the nurses and their introductions. I felt as good as I could have both before and after surgery. I appreciated the opportunity to make my concerns about anesthesia known and felt they took it seriously. I thank them for such great service!!

This place and the people that work there are awesome! From the moment I arrived for my surgery, to the time I was released, I actually found myself having a good time. I was well informed about my surgery, everyone was on time, I was introduced to everyone who was going to be working on me and comfortable and warm thanks to the warm blankets the nurse made sure were on me all the time. I felt at ease with the surgery about to be performed. and confident with the outcome. The sense of humor these people have makes foot surgery seem not so bad.
