Had an upper endoscopy procedure done here. Dr. Sara Ancello was fantastic! My nurses Ashley and Ryan were also fantastic, as well as, the anesthesiologist. Everyone made me feel so comfortable!

I had a procedure done this week that went smooth and painless. I have always been a hard IV stick so a special shout out to Ryan who was able to get my IV started on her first try. Thank you!

Misleading Costs & Multiple Surprise Bills Review: I was initially told that my total out-of-pocket cost for the procedure would be $1,100, which seemed manageable. That estimate came from both Central Arizona Endoscopy and Arizona Gastrointestinal Associates, so I moved forward expecting that was all I’d be responsible for. In addition to that, I had an initial doctor’s appointment where I was told there would be a separate charge — I can’t recall the exact amount, but I accepted it at the time assuming everything was transparent and accurate. Since then, I’ve been billed by two additional providers that were never discussed up front. Between all the bills from different sources, I’m now paying significantly more than I was led to believe. The lack of clear communication between the offices and failure to provide a realistic full-cost estimate has been incredibly frustrating. Patients deserve transparency — not surprise bills weeks or months after the fact. I would strongly advise others to get detailed cost breakdowns in writing and verify exactly who will be billing you before moving forward with any services at these facilities.
