Very pleased with both of my cataract surgeries here at Eye Institute at Boswell.Surgeon, Dr Sara Ghobrial from Horizon Eye Specialists was great and was reassuring talking me through the laser process. All the Boswell support staff, nurses, techs were cheerful, informative and reassuring throughout. All had great bedside manner. The same was true when my husband had detached retina surgery a few weeks ago, a much more complicated surgery by Dr Setu Patel from Associated Retina consultants. A special thumbs up for nurse Molly 👍

Once I was taken back for the pre-op preparation, the nurses and staff were very professional and caring. That said, my check-in time was listed as 8:00am and my name was not called until 9:45am. The hour and 45 minute wait tarnished my whole experience.

Dr. Levin and his staff were awesome! They prepared me so well and took very good care of me. I use a wheelchair for mobility and they knew how to do all the transfers and procedures perfectly. I want to thank everyone for helping me get better vision again! What a great experience and thank you so much!

The surgery staff are very kind, compassionate, caring and efficient. Five stars for sure. However, when we checked in for our first appointment at 2:30, we waited. And we waited. And we waited and finally left the building at 6:30. Reception staff should have told us they were behind, husband is currently undergoing chemo and radiation treatments for cancer and this was a horrible length of time to sit without food or medications.

The front desk woman was very friendly, patient and efficient. She was already putting me at ease. The pre op teams were both excellent, very friendly, answered questions, they were efficient but they didn't make you feel like you weren't important. I really liked my OR team on my 11/25 surgery; they were friendly, worked to put me at ease and used plenty of numbing drops and gels. They listened to the fact that I was really anxious and worked to alleviate that. The OR nurses for my 12/3 procedure were not at all friendly, did not listen to my request for numbing gel and there was some sort of issue with the surgeon and the information and he got upset and left and the nurses were all taking about it and no one explained anything about it to me. Then the Dr came back and we proceeded like nothing had just happened. I was also a little disappointed in the anesthesiologist, she did not listen to my need for more sedation, v especially on my 12/3 surgery. I felt more than pressure, my anxiety was through the roof and I'm not entirely sure what i paid her for because I was not at all calm during the second surgery. But all in all, I recommend hands down Summit Eye Surgeons and Boswell Eye Surgery Center to have your cataract surgery done. My eyesight is amazing, I could see the day of surgery.
