I had a frustrating experience with the front desk. I made multiple attempts to call and cancel my appointments in advance, but was unable to reach anyone by phone. Despite this, I was still charged a no-show fee. I also explained that I could not afford the procedure and was trying to cancel with proper notice, yet only one of my appointments was actually canceled. I hope the office can improve their communication and responsiveness so other patients do not run into the same issue.
Dr. Arenas was extremely knowledgeable and able to respond to all my questions, took time to explain everything clearly, and made us feel comfortable and respected. I appreciated the thoughtful approach and professionalism. Both parents are content and satisfied with Dr. A's competence.
After being brushed off and not taken seriously for YEARS, Dr Miguel Arenas finally made me feel seen. This center got me an appointment in a TIMELY manner (the next week; even as a new patient), they scheduled my procedures in a timely manner, and they made me feel BELIEVED. Dr Arenas was very friendly and always greeted me by my name and prescribed me with a treatment that made a significant improvement. I cannot recommend enough.
I’ve paid for 2 visits to see nurse practitioner alicia encinas and after my 2nd visit I recently discovered that she’s been lying about how my appointments have been going for some unknown reason, she’s reported doing a physical exam at both appointments to which never happened, on top of that I got a call from their office after I reported it to where they stated in a shocked manor “she’s never listened to your lungs or pushed on your abdomen to examine?” Which is probably not a good thing lol and most of the appointment she doesn’t even look at me just tosses a prescription at me and types away at her computer, she’s straight up lied on my medical documents about me “denying” certain symptoms that she’s actively reported me having? On top of that she has never once taken a single one of my symptoms seriously, somehow my original physical exam I had “no abdominal pain” but that’s the exact reason I was at the appointment. This is the kind of person that gives nurses and doctors a bad wrap on how they don’t take their jobs seriously or their patients I would recommend anyone else at this office hopefully they take you more seriously then she ever took me
Do not go here if you want a thorough doctor's visit. While the front desk and MA's are nice, the encounter with the provider was NOT. I saw the Nurse Practitioner Kristina and she could give a damn about me or my diagnosis. They even called to give me my severe diagnosis results on the phone, left a message, and when I tried calling back I couldn't get a hold of anyone. I do not know if this is how Dr. Arenas acts, however it is bad enough for me to ask for a 2nd opinion. Kristina was cold, short, and barely answered all of my questions. The entire time I felt like I was a nuisance to her, even though I am the patient just trying to be engaged in my overall health. It is not the worst place in the world, but I sure won't be back.
