Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

ColonoscopyA flexible camera examines the full length of the colon to screen for cancer and remove polyps before they become cancerous. Done under sedation, it typically takes 30 to 60 minutes. The bowel prep the day before is the part most patients find hardest.Upper Endoscopy (EGD)A thin camera passed through the mouth examines the esophagus, stomach, and the first part of the small intestine. Used to investigate persistent heartburn, difficulty swallowing, unexplained bleeding, or abdominal pain. Usually takes 15 to 30 minutes under sedation.Flexible SigmoidoscopyExamines the lower portion of the colon only, rather than its full length. Preparation is lighter than a full colonoscopy and sedation is sometimes unnecessary, but it cannot detect problems higher in the colon.Capsule EndoscopyYou swallow a vitamin-sized camera that photographs the small intestine as it passes through — a region that standard scopes cannot easily reach. There is no sedation and no recovery. The capsule passes naturally, and images are reviewed after the fact.ERCPCombines endoscopy and X-ray imaging to diagnose and treat blockages in the bile and pancreatic ducts, most often gallstones stuck in a duct. Unlike a routine endoscopy, it carries a meaningful risk of pancreatitis afterward, so it is used when treatment is likely rather than for screening alone.Hemorrhoid TreatmentShrinks or removes swollen veins in the rectum and anus using rubber band ligation, injection, or surgical removal depending on severity. Banding is quick and typically requires no anesthesia; surgical removal is more effective for advanced cases but recovery is noticeably more uncomfortable.

This place is pathetic, has a reputation of not being punctual with procedure schedule. They have some surgery schedule board which no one seems to understand. So far I’ve been waiting 2+ hours for a very routine procedure. I worry about professional competency if their service is so slow.

This office is good about not returning calls to schedule an appointment. This has been an ongoing issue for years. I’ve had to drive to their office to schedule an appointment after waiting several weeks. If you’re looking for an office who doesn’t return calls after leaving a message, this is the place! Wish I could find a different office for my care.

I had a endoscopy and The wait was almost 2 hours late.Im diabetic and that caused me to feel very sick going that long without food .Then the staff was overworked and in a hurry to get me over with. When I woke up in my room noone was around.I was coughing badly from a asthma attack and needed my inhaler. A very rude nurse showed up and took her time getting me my inhaler. Then when it was time for me to leave she just said I could go.No help no wheelchair. I was wobbly and out of it.This is the worse care I've ever had there. In the past I was wheeled out and cared for.The only friendly helpful person was the doctor.I miss Doctor klien. He would always talk to my spouse about the outcome. Not now .They just said she's done come to the back.I will be looking around for a new clinic to meet my medical needs.Too bad .I've been a client for 20 years.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I went in for a colonoscopy on May 28th. Prior to May 28th the office called and said I had to pay $500 dollars out of pocket. I called my insurance and they explained that the colonoscopy is 100% covered through my plan. However when I went in on May 28th I was told that I couldn’t get the colonoscopy without paying the $500 and that I would receive a $500 refund 30 days after my procedure. My insurance gave me a case number to give the front desk before my procedure and the front desk and billing department refused to take the case number and refused to look at my insurance. I have talked to several people from their billing department and their office and I have been told many lies. They have said “your refund is being processed”, “in 30 days you will receive your refund”, “I promise this will be fixed by our management”, “we will call you back”. After months I finally went back to the practice and talked with their manager Heather Burke, she explained that this would get fixed right away and also told me to email the business manager Renee Felix. (Mind you I’ve already spoken with Renee on the phone about this issue and was promised a refund) I emailed Renee and explained the situation again. I have not heard anything back from Renee. I have sent another email and again silence. I have called and left a voice mail for Heather and haven’t heard anything back. To make the situation worse, I have received my EOB from the procedure stating what I actually owe for the procedure. ($45 dollars) When I went in to speak to Heather I allowed her to make a copy so we could get this refund process started. However I feel like she did anything and everything to get me out of the office. Told me what I wanted to hear and made false statements. Do not go here for any procedure! All they want is your money and they have made that very clear with my situation. They do not care about your well being! I have waited months and have been jerked around, I cannot wait any longer and will be calling the Better Business Bureau.

This place is a Disaster! My friend was scheduled for a colonoscopy at 11 am. Told her she had to be there at 1030am. Two and a half hours later she asked them why she asked what's happening. They told her they were running and hour behind. It had already been 2 hours! Three hours later they finally started her procedure. Apparently their time is the only thing that matters to them. Instead of trying to crap so many patients in to make the big bucks they should strive for better patient care!
