Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Cataract SurgeryThe clouded natural lens of the eye is removed and replaced with a clear artificial one. It is one of the most common outpatient procedures performed in the country, usually takes under 30 minutes per eye, and is done under light sedation with numbing drops rather than general anesthesia.LASIK / Refractive SurgeryA laser reshapes the cornea to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism, reducing dependence on glasses or contacts. The procedure itself takes minutes per eye. Vision is often noticeably better within a day, though it can take several weeks to fully stabilize.Glaucoma SurgeryCreates a new drainage path for fluid inside the eye to lower internal pressure. Glaucoma damages the optic nerve silently, so the goal is preventing further vision loss rather than restoring vision already lost. Several minimally invasive options are now performed in outpatient settings.Retinal SurgeryRepairs the light-sensitive tissue at the back of the eye, most often for a detached or torn retina, or for bleeding related to diabetes. Timing matters — a detaching retina is treated urgently because delay increases the risk of permanent vision loss.Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)Removes excess skin and fat from the upper or lower eyelids. When drooping upper lids block part of the visual field, the procedure is functional rather than cosmetic and is often covered by insurance if visual field testing documents the obstruction.Corneal TransplantReplaces damaged or clouded corneal tissue with donor tissue. Modern techniques often replace only the affected layer rather than the full thickness, which shortens recovery. Vision improves gradually over months, and stitches may stay in place for a year or longer.

Procedure list is based on CMS-reported specialty designations. Contact the facility to confirm specific procedures offered.

Everyone was so kind from reception all the way up to my Dr. Johnson and all the surgical staff. My nurse (I wish I could remember everyone's names, but I was sedated 🤣) and anesthesiologists were amazing and explained everything they were doing to me pre-op and what to expect post-op. Went above and beyond for me!

The clinical, treatment and procedural portion was excellent, absolutely no complaints or issues there. The registration staff should be ready to inform the patients of any possible additional payments to expect. I received a surprise bill of over $400 after a total out of pocket payment of over $6K between them and the referring clinic.

I found the care I received here was top rate! My pre op appointment and nurse calls made sure everything would go as smoothly as possible the day of surgery. This facility assigns patients a code, so my husband knew exactly where I was in the process by following the screen in the waiting room. My nurse, Allie, prepped me for surgery, Ryan, my anesthesiologist, spent time with me before surgery, and my surgeon took care of everything in the OR. Brittany assisted me in recovery and sent me home. I would not hesitate to return to this facility and highly recommend it.

Cancelled my surgery due to Surgery Center wanting co-insurance payment up front. Said it was "policy". My health insurance cost me over $600 a month. My wife has had 19 surgeries over the years elsewhere. We never been asked for the co-insurance. I pay co-pays and deductibles up front. My insurance pays 85% of the procedure and I'm billed for the remaining 15%. Anyone I've asked was surprised because they hadn't ran into this anywhere else. That's where I'm going. Anywhere else. They were so worried about 15% that they lost 100%.

They should really pay more attention to how far people are driving to get here. We were called the night before and told to be here an hour earlier than we had been told previously. We drove the 1.25 hour to get here. I ran to target and back so 11:30 in the parking lot, becauae they never told us a new surgery time, after the new arrival time. Surgery wound up being an hour later than the previous time. No phone call until 2:30. 4.5 hours in a car in 90+ degree temps.
