Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

HysteroscopyA slim camera passed through the cervix examines the inside of the uterus, and can remove polyps or fibroids in the same visit. No abdominal incision is involved. Cramping for a day or two afterward is normal.LaparoscopyA camera and instruments are inserted through small abdominal incisions, allowing diagnosis and treatment without a large open incision. Used for endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and pelvic pain, with recovery measured in days rather than weeks.D&C (Dilation and Curettage)The cervix is dilated and the uterine lining removed, for heavy bleeding, after a miscarriage, or to obtain tissue for diagnosis. The procedure takes 10 to 15 minutes and most people return to normal activity within a day or two.Tubal LigationThe fallopian tubes are sealed, cut, or removed to provide permanent contraception. It should be considered irreversible — reversal is not reliably successful, so it is intended for people certain they do not want future pregnancy.Endometrial AblationThe uterine lining is destroyed to reduce or stop heavy menstrual bleeding, offering an alternative to hysterectomy. It is not a contraceptive, and it is only appropriate for those who have completed childbearing.Ovarian Cyst RemovalA persistent, enlarging, or painful ovarian cyst is removed, usually laparoscopically. Surgeons generally aim to remove the cyst while preserving the ovary itself, particularly for patients who may want future pregnancy.
Breast Augmentation / ReductionBreast size is increased by placing implants, or decreased by removing breast tissue and skin and repositioning the remaining tissue. Reduction is often performed to relieve back, neck, and shoulder pain caused by breast weight.RhinoplastySurgery that reshapes the nose by altering the bone and cartilage beneath the skin. It is performed to change appearance, to correct breathing problems caused by internal structure, or both. Swelling takes months to fully resolve.FaceliftLiposuctionFat is suctioned out from beneath the skin through small tubes called cannulas, reshaping a specific area such as the abdomen, flanks, or thighs. It targets localized deposits and is a contouring procedure rather than a method of weight loss.Wound ReconstructionRebuilds skin and underlying tissue where a wound is too large or too damaged to close directly. Surgeons move nearby tissue, or transfer skin and muscle from elsewhere on the body, to cover the defect. Often follows trauma, infection, or cancer removal.Skin GraftingHealthy skin is taken from one area of the body and transplanted to cover a wound or burn elsewhere. Both the graft site and the donor site need care, and the donor site is often the more uncomfortable of the two.

My experience with Bladder & Bowel Institute was outstanding! From the moment you walked in the door to the moment you were prepping for surgery to install the Interstim system to meeting Dr.Taylor to having the pickup service from Randy for me and my daughter who drove 3 hours to and from so I could have the trial as well as the surgery to the follow up phone calls that I have received. The service is outstanding !!! I got my life back and I am so happy and very grateful!

I highly recommend having this procedure done! It's been about 4 years since I had it done and am satisfied. Recently I had to have an MRI which required suspending it. It was several days afterwards before I could reactivate it and I was pleasantly shocked to find out how well it really was working. I'd say it is a 70% overall improvement with it.

This procedure has changed my life! I couldn't even sleep because I had to get up every hour. Now I can sleep through the night! Dr. Taylor is great. He answered all my questions and explained the procedure. The staff is very friendly and professional, the facility is gorgeous, well-staffed and well organized. The transport service is a big plus! I have gotten regular follow up calls and quick response to any questions I've had over the past 2 years. Thank you so much!

I am so thrilled with the whole procedure and my implant device. Dr Taylor runs his office like an expensive watch. Just as every piece of the watch is doing what it is supposed to to keep accurate time, each staff member knows their duty & performs them professionally, I would give 100 stars if allowed. The driver came to pick me up for trial & implant procedure. Folks that is a 5.5 hr trip one way. Accepted what insurance paid. 11 hours on the road and driver was pleasant and would always highly recommend driver Randy. He was very professional & really did great. Now I had the implant done for bladder & bowel issues. But I got a great bonus too. I have had severe sciatic pain that ran into groin and leg. Folks that pain is about totally gone. I have had two RFAs done and they did not touch that pain. So to say I am thrilled is an understatement! I highly recommend you considering this procedure to only use BBI. Thank you, Dr. Chris Taylor & your fine orchestrated run office. You have a wonderful staff. I appreciate each one very much from Receptionist to surgical team on, to the nurses who still check on me. Always ready to take my calls. I just can't say enough good about this group of fine people. I was treated as royalty (BTW I am as far from it as possible) thank you again gentlemen & ladies. Keep up the fantastic job Still doing great after 7+ months. The absolute best thing i have had done. Now I need an implant done for my spine now. Trying to convince my pain management of this. He is starting to come around!

The care I was given and shown were outstanding. They provided all of my transportation, so that was a big help. The surgery went fast, and the results have been phenomenal. Before, I was getting up in the middle of the night a minimum of five times. Now I sleep through the night. I was constantly having to change my depends and a pad several times a day. Now I only wear one. I'm so happy to have gone to one of Dr. Taylor's informational seminars and decided for the procedure. It has changed my life, for the better.
