Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Epidural Steroid InjectionsSteroid medication is injected near irritated spinal nerve roots to calm inflammation causing sciatica or arm pain. Often used to make physical therapy tolerable rather than as a standalone cure. There are limits on how frequently they can be repeated.Nerve Block InjectionsAnesthetic, sometimes with steroid, is injected around a specific nerve to interrupt pain signals. Used both to treat pain and to identify its source, since relief from a precisely placed block points to the nerve responsible.Radiofrequency AblationHeat generated by radio waves disables the small nerves carrying pain signals from an arthritic spinal joint. Relief commonly lasts six months to two years. Because the nerves regenerate over time, the procedure can be repeated.Spinal Cord StimulationA device delivers mild electrical pulses to the spinal cord to interrupt chronic pain signals before they reach the brain. A temporary trial period is done first, so you can judge the benefit before committing to a permanent implant.Joint InjectionsSteroid or lubricating medication is injected directly into an arthritic or inflamed joint. Image guidance is often used to confirm placement. Relief typically lasts weeks to months and can make physical therapy more productive.Trigger Point InjectionsA local anesthetic is injected into a taut, tender knot of muscle to break the spasm-and-pain cycle. The appointment takes minutes and you can usually return to normal activity the same day.

CHI is a wonderful facility with top notch office, outpatient and surgery staff. Dr Larrimer did my surgery robotically which made it much less painful. I highly recommend CHI!

I had a very disappointing and upsetting experience with Dr. Tubre. I went to him for a painful pilonidal cyst, hoping for compassion and treatment options. Instead, he was dismissive, cold, and made me feel like I was exaggerating my pain. When I explained my concerns and past traumatic experiences with cyst drainage, I was looking for understanding and discussion about pain relief. Instead, he told me that if the infection didn’t improve in a few days, he would drain it and that I’d “just have to put a rag in my mouth to bite on.” This was shocking and unprofessional. Any patient deserves better pain management than that. I left feeling unheard, belittled, and even more anxious about my condition. I will not be returning to him and would not recommend him to anyone seeking compassionate or patient-centered care. Patients deserve respect, empathy, and real treatment options — and unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

A Clinic That Goes Above and Beyond I can’t say enough good things about my experience at CHI St. Vincent Surgery Clinic. From the moment I walked through the doors, I felt like more than just a patient—I felt like family. The level of care, professionalism, and genuine kindness I received was absolutely beyond my expectations. The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, answering every question with patience and compassion. My surgeon took the time to explain every detail of the procedure, easing my fears and making sure I felt confident and prepared every step of the way. The day of surgery, I was treated with such attentiveness and reassurance—it made all the difference. Every nurse, tech, and support staff member I encountered truly seemed to care, and it showed in every interaction. This clinic didn’t just perform a procedure—they helped me heal with dignity, comfort, and compassion. I am deeply grateful and would recommend them to anyone looking for surgical care that truly puts the patient first. They go above and beyond in every sense of the word.
