Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Epidural Steroid InjectionsSteroid medication is injected near irritated spinal nerve roots to calm inflammation causing sciatica or arm pain. Often used to make physical therapy tolerable rather than as a standalone cure. There are limits on how frequently they can be repeated.Nerve Block InjectionsAnesthetic, sometimes with steroid, is injected around a specific nerve to interrupt pain signals. Used both to treat pain and to identify its source, since relief from a precisely placed block points to the nerve responsible.Radiofrequency AblationHeat generated by radio waves disables the small nerves carrying pain signals from an arthritic spinal joint. Relief commonly lasts six months to two years. Because the nerves regenerate over time, the procedure can be repeated.Spinal Cord StimulationA device delivers mild electrical pulses to the spinal cord to interrupt chronic pain signals before they reach the brain. A temporary trial period is done first, so you can judge the benefit before committing to a permanent implant.Joint InjectionsSteroid or lubricating medication is injected directly into an arthritic or inflamed joint. Image guidance is often used to confirm placement. Relief typically lasts weeks to months and can make physical therapy more productive.Trigger Point InjectionsA local anesthetic is injected into a taut, tender knot of muscle to break the spasm-and-pain cycle. The appointment takes minutes and you can usually return to normal activity the same day.

I've been fighting severe back/neck pain for 15 years. Horrible doctor after horrible doctor who you wait 4 hours for and they only spend 1 minute with you. The type of doctor you will NEVER put your full trust in. I met Dr Gary Frankowski two or three years ago through a referral from Dr. Richard Peek (Great doctor as well). Dr Frankowski cares about his patients and it shows. I have let Dr. Frankowski do 2 neck and 2 back procedures. I felt better after every procedure. Dr Frankowski has done all my steroid injection as well. If you are in pain all the time and just tired of horrible doctors who want to do the most invasive surgey they can for money. Dr. Gary Frankowski and Dr Richard Peek are the greatest doctor's I've had the privilege of meeting. Tell Dr Peek, Vegas sent you.

After trying physical therapy for pain in my neck it became apparent therapy along was not a cure. After consult with my doctors at Ortho ARK I elected to have an epidural in my upper spine/neck. The process went very well from check in the finish. They were very organized and efficient. All personnel were friendly and showed concern for my care. The injection was painless .and for the first time in months I can move my neck without pain. I am very pleased and highly recommend Orth ARK Spine Clinic

I am extremely pleased with the care I received from Dr. Gary Frankowski and his team. I had several procedures done. Every one was very professional, courteous, timely and kind. Dr. Frankowski visited with me prior to every procedure and ask if I had any questions and made me feel very comfortable. He was very friendly and I felt as though I was very important to him and his team. I had my nerve ablation yesterday and have had no pain since then. I am very blessed.

Dr Cayme is the best. He has a very professional and caring bedside manner. He explains everything prior to performing any procedure. He is very patient and kind and allowed me to ask questions and explained the answers to me. The nursing staff were all nice and professional and took time to explain procedures as well and discussed discharge instructions with me. The facility was clean. Would definitely recommend!
