Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Epidural Steroid InjectionsSteroid medication is injected near irritated spinal nerve roots to calm inflammation causing sciatica or arm pain. Often used to make physical therapy tolerable rather than as a standalone cure. There are limits on how frequently they can be repeated.Nerve Block InjectionsAnesthetic, sometimes with steroid, is injected around a specific nerve to interrupt pain signals. Used both to treat pain and to identify its source, since relief from a precisely placed block points to the nerve responsible.Radiofrequency AblationHeat generated by radio waves disables the small nerves carrying pain signals from an arthritic spinal joint. Relief commonly lasts six months to two years. Because the nerves regenerate over time, the procedure can be repeated.Spinal Cord StimulationA device delivers mild electrical pulses to the spinal cord to interrupt chronic pain signals before they reach the brain. A temporary trial period is done first, so you can judge the benefit before committing to a permanent implant.Joint InjectionsSteroid or lubricating medication is injected directly into an arthritic or inflamed joint. Image guidance is often used to confirm placement. Relief typically lasts weeks to months and can make physical therapy more productive.Trigger Point InjectionsA local anesthetic is injected into a taut, tender knot of muscle to break the spasm-and-pain cycle. The appointment takes minutes and you can usually return to normal activity the same day.

My experience with Stockdale Surgery Center has been extremely positive. From the appointment confirmation call to the procedure follow up call everyone is friendly, professional, and caring. On my last visit my rides car battery went dead and the staff was quick to offer their assistance. On that same visit a man fell in the parking lot and the nurses and doctor rushed out to help him, they stayed with him until the ambulance arrived and took over.

Top notch facility , Ive been thru this procedure 3 times first in 2001 at a Victorville location way too far to drive or rid in a car home. Second in Victorville outpatient spine surgery center they nearly killed me. Stockdale Surgery Center is far better than any other place I've been for treatment {epidural} Very clean Modern facility with fluoroscopy so injection will be exactly where it belongs (not like the last place where it went into spinal cord instead of near the nerve. Not to mention the people all the nicest pro's are are here, your best possible result is their goal and they work together as a team making a person feel safe and secure no matter past experience .
