Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

HysteroscopyA slim camera passed through the cervix examines the inside of the uterus, and can remove polyps or fibroids in the same visit. No abdominal incision is involved. Cramping for a day or two afterward is normal.LaparoscopyA camera and instruments are inserted through small abdominal incisions, allowing diagnosis and treatment without a large open incision. Used for endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and pelvic pain, with recovery measured in days rather than weeks.D&C (Dilation and Curettage)The cervix is dilated and the uterine lining removed, for heavy bleeding, after a miscarriage, or to obtain tissue for diagnosis. The procedure takes 10 to 15 minutes and most people return to normal activity within a day or two.Tubal LigationThe fallopian tubes are sealed, cut, or removed to provide permanent contraception. It should be considered irreversible — reversal is not reliably successful, so it is intended for people certain they do not want future pregnancy.Endometrial AblationThe uterine lining is destroyed to reduce or stop heavy menstrual bleeding, offering an alternative to hysterectomy. It is not a contraceptive, and it is only appropriate for those who have completed childbearing.Ovarian Cyst RemovalA persistent, enlarging, or painful ovarian cyst is removed, usually laparoscopically. Surgeons generally aim to remove the cyst while preserving the ovary itself, particularly for patients who may want future pregnancy.
Breast Augmentation / ReductionBreast size is increased by placing implants, or decreased by removing breast tissue and skin and repositioning the remaining tissue. Reduction is often performed to relieve back, neck, and shoulder pain caused by breast weight.RhinoplastySurgery that reshapes the nose by altering the bone and cartilage beneath the skin. It is performed to change appearance, to correct breathing problems caused by internal structure, or both. Swelling takes months to fully resolve.FaceliftLiposuctionFat is suctioned out from beneath the skin through small tubes called cannulas, reshaping a specific area such as the abdomen, flanks, or thighs. It targets localized deposits and is a contouring procedure rather than a method of weight loss.Wound ReconstructionRebuilds skin and underlying tissue where a wound is too large or too damaged to close directly. Surgeons move nearby tissue, or transfer skin and muscle from elsewhere on the body, to cover the defect. Often follows trauma, infection, or cancer removal.Skin GraftingHealthy skin is taken from one area of the body and transplanted to cover a wound or burn elsewhere. Both the graft site and the donor site need care, and the donor site is often the more uncomfortable of the two.

This surgery center erroneously charged me for a thousand dollars months ago and is dragging their feet to reimburse me for their mistake. I’m going to have to sue to get my money back. They are horrible. Avoid at all costs.

Same experience as everyone else. Their billing department is highly unprofessional and does not send the invoices despite several requests (emails, calls) over weeks through the appropriate channels. It is impossible to get ahold of anyone. When else do you pay for something and then not get a detailed receipt?

My experience mirrors the others. No response to a request for a super bill after 4 emails, countless phone calls, and 4 weeks of waiting. I can't get reimbursed because of their incompetence.

My experiences mirror everyone here. The billing dept is awful. This facility was unfortunately required for use with Dr. Alexander, who is amazing. They sent an updated invoice after the first was paid in full, then had no record of my paying the first invoice, despite the fact that they sent me a receipt for payment. The second invoice sent was for $2500 less, because the doctor removed one procedure. Although the procedure had not even occurred, they would not refund the money. 8 weeks and 5 emails and three phone calls later, they still have not completed the surgery notes to confirm a procedure that was not ordered, did not occur. They do not answer the phone or respond to emails.

Was diagnosed with breast cancer, so I had an egg retrieval done here prior to starting chemotherapy. The surgery experience was fine, but I've been trying to get invoices for the services (to send to my insurance company for reimbursement) for about 6 weeks. It took a solid 3 weeks to get one invoice, but still trying to get one for the anesthesia fees. I've probably left about 10 messages for the anesthesiologist and sent numerous emails. No one that I can get on the phone in the office seems to be able to help (nor really care). Extremely frustrating during an already trying and stressful time.
