I had an ACL reconstruction at this facility on 4/10/2025. I’m not sure why this place is rated so low, I had a good experience with the facility and especially the staff. Deserves to be rated much better Parking was ample and the office was easy to find. The waiting room was large, clean, quiet. My only recommendation is it would be convenient if they had a numbered patient tracker board so patients’ guests could track patient status via the waiting room. Other than that everything was perfect from the waiting room, operating room, and recovery room. The medical assistant and the three nurses who attended to me were kind, knowledgeable, and professional. They explained clearly what was going to happen and in what order so I knew what was going on each step. The medical assistant and first nurse ( I think Genevieve or Genesis) I dealt with kept me calm, found my veins quickly, and kept me very comfortable. The anesthesiologist Dr.Cheon put in the nerve block almost painlessly and did a good job of timing my anesthesia so I woke up calmly in the recovery room with Nurse Elizabeth. In past surgeries at other hospitals I’ve woken up suddenly to bright lights and a bunch of masked faces looking down on me, not ideal. As soon as I came to nurse Elizabeth gave me some pain meds and some medication to stop me from shivering and monitored me until I was ready to be taken home by my family. They weren’t in a hurry to get me out of there and only let me leave when they felt I was safe and ready to do so. It was all done exceptionally well. I highly recommend the facility and staff for anyone who has out patient surgery in the Bay Area… 5 stars. Wish I could remember everyone’s name…Thank you so much!
I extend my sincere gratitude to the staff who provided exceptional care during my recent colonoscopy. Having previously worked in the VA operating room, I can attest to the remarkably high standard of care I received; the team's professionalism and attentiveness were outstanding throughout the entire procedure. Thank you for your compassionate care and reassurance.
The nurses are not good. They cant find a vein and had to stick me 3x. The anesthesiologist is not good at all. I was screaming in the OR when he injected the anesthesia and said this is normal. He shouldn’t have been given his certification if he thinks this is normal; your patient screaming from pain. Ive had more times being under and this is not normal. You need to be careful of you get this anestheologist. Im going to conplain about him
Long story short, I wrecked my knee and needed surgery to repair the damage. The surgical center is located in a startlingly nondescript building. The lobby of the center itself is comfortable, even if you have to wait for a while with your banged-up and sore knee propped up for a spell until you're taken to the back. The pre-op area is dated in its appearance and a bit on the chilly side (though I do recall being either given an extra blanket or something while I waited to be wheeled to the OR, so it's not like I was shivering on the gurney). It was otherwise immaculate. Always reassuring. The anesthesiologist, nurses, etc. were all extremely responsive to my needs. Pair that with the fine work performed by Dr. Dillingham, and frankly, I couldn't have asked for a less stressful experience. Surgery is never fun, but when the people running the show keep things moving while making sure you're as comfortable as possible, it makes it bearable.
My wife had a fairly small procedure at this center. While the medical part went OK, the business practices of this place are terrible. They do not subscribe to major insurance networks, but claim that they will accept insurance determination for "in-network" pricing. Considering the deductibles this is a time-sensitive situation. At the time of the surgery their systems were down and they could not bill the insurance. In fact, they had not done so for four more months. Then they had not send us a statement until a year and four months after the date of service when a "Past Due" statement with wrong amounts arrived. Calls to their billing office have not been answered, a person at the front desk of the center promised to facilitate, but no results. The procedure took a couple of hours. Dealing with the accounting is looking like months of frustration. Totally unacceptable.
