I just walked out before establishing care because the receptionist was cold and frankly rude, and the vibe was so off I got a feeling of dread like I was going to make a mistake by continuing to be there. When I called to make the appointment, whoever I spoke to was polite, and asked for my notes from my derm and insurance information to be sent over. I did this same day. Today when I went in for my appointment the receptionist didnt even look me in the face when greeting me with the most perfunctory "hello do you have an appointment" which immediately made me feel queasy. She then asked for a copy of my driver's license. I asked why? She said to make sure you are who you say you are. I said I wasnt comfortable with that. If they wanted to just see it, sure I suppose? Though I have never had that request at a medical office before. But why do you need a copy on file?? Then she asks for my insurance cards to which I said, per your establishments request I already had that information sent over... She just looked at me then gave me the paperwork. When I sat down to start filling it out it was dead quiet and I just felt like something was so off. I sat my unfilled paperwork on the counter and walked out. Maybe some people are ok with that level of interaction but I wasn't and chose to go with my gut. If the reception is like that I didn't want to find out what the dr was like and be in a closed room where I might feel trapped. I left a review on this page and Dr Meyers has a listing under his own name for some reason.

It’s a bummer to see the bad reviews or mostly just a receptionist when it’s a plastic surgery center. I don’t know about others, but I’m more concerned with the work rather than how the receptionist treats me. Although in my experience, I’ve had nothing but wonderful encounters with all of the staff. I’ve gone to Dr. Myers for anything cosmetic surgery related since 2013 and recently had extensive Facelift work. There are not a ton of before and after pics On the website, so please don’t judge that. I can tell you firsthand that I am beyond impressed with my experience and my surgery outcome. For frame of reference, I had a facelift, brow lift, and a lip lift. Highly recommend

Staff is quite snippy and ironically impatient with patients. Asked the receptionist several reasonable questions to be informed about what my options look like and she sat in silence for 3-5 seconds with every question and then gave half assed answers. Extremely disappointing and honestly embarrassed by the tone and lack of customer service training these girls have.

I am 35 and was going through a lot of hard emotional decisions when I was looking for a plastic surgeon to get a double mastectomy. When I met The staff and nurses at north state I was treated so well and so pleased. After my first appointment meeting Dr. Hartmann I was so comforted and felt like she was very invested in me and my journey. Fast forward now through two surgeries and many many office visits and I am beyond thankful I chose her as my doctor. She is so professional and her knowledge, compassion, confidence and humility exceeds any doctor I have ever met or could of ever dreamed of. I would choose her as my doctor a million times over if I had to make that choice again.

I saw some of the bad reviews for Northstate Plastic Surgery and debated whether I should go to my appointment. Although it was a gut feeling it proved true. I wasn’t going to say anything but to prevent others from receiving horrible treatment, I will. For the most part her ratings look great, educational background looks good, and as a mother seems like someone who understands. However, Dr. Emily C. Hartmann is extremely unprofessional, and although looks/ acts caring, was unfortunately not. I went to my appointment after scheduling it months in advance and even confirmed the day of, but as soon as I arrived they sent someone to tell me she no longer does the procedure. (That’s on the official website and something she told me herself is what “she loves to do”) What kind of doctor makes someone travel far and tells them that they no longer do a procedure without even an explanation?! I would have been content to see the doctor at least so she could tell me to my face, but when she didn’t I realized how cold and truly unprofessional she is. I am glad I got away while I still could, please save yourself the hassle of dealing with unprofessional surgeons and look elsewhere.
