My wife waited 1.5 hrs for her procedure in a very small lobby room with so many people she couldn’t find a chair to sit on. Eventually some people moved and she was able to sit down for a bit. People come in here with back problems, hip problems… limping. At least what they can do is ensure that there is room for everybody to sit comfortably. Small outdated lobby and facility… its time to move. I am sure they are making bank $$$ with the amount of people they run through this place every day. And why the creepy doll???!?! People who worked there looked overwhelmed and were nice enough considering circumstances.
Thank you Alondra and front desk reception team. I watched you girls for two hours help people get signed in. You all are so very kind and professional with the public. I’m not too sure what the nurses were going through that day but it was visibly uncomfortable watching them call on patients with such indifference and minimal greetings. They go through so much but patients also arrive nervous and stressed out already so kindness, patience and compassion is necessary and that is exactly what you ladies provided. Thank you so very much.
I’m writing this before I have even had the surgery. It is after 3pm the day before my surgery and yet NO ONE has called from the facility to give a a time for the damn procedure! So unprofessional. I have called them twice and been told the times come from my surgeon’s office. And the office tells me the opposite. I don’t care who tells me I just need to know so I can plan my day and coordinate a ride to and from! Less than 24 hrs notice is ridiculous and adds a totally unnecessary level of stress and anxiety to the already stressful experience of surgery. Lack of compassion and care that I truly hope I do not experience in person (if I ever get a time to arrive.)
Premier Surgery Center is a well-oiled machine, but still personal. Check-in was easy, the team of nurses inside were attentive, polite, clear in explanations, in good moods and seemed to genuinely enjoy their jobs. Morgan, RN BSN put my IV in my hand, I didn’t even know it went in! She could tell I had anxiety about the general anesthesia, this was my first time. She calmed me down, and made me so comfortable. The anesthesiologist, Eric was clear and friendly, told him about the nausea concern, I was out like within a minute and woke up clear headed and perfectly fine. At the end, before I headed out the door, the doctor reports were printed out and given to me. "Service" training is truly embraced here. Morgan, RN BSN charge nurse was Amazing!
The place and atmosphere is very professional, though it is a business the staff do not treat you like a customer. You are taken care of like an important patient. The nurses are exemplary in the care and service they provide, they go the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable and your needs are met. During your typical medical interactions and procedures, most people just want to get it over with and be done so you can go home and rest. Though I did feel this way, I also was made to feel as comfortable and pleasant as possible. As far as my actual procedure and my doctor; she is excellent at what she does, and does it as painlessly as possible. If you are thinking about having a branch block or an oblation I recommend the Premier Surgery Center and their Nursers and Dr. Boparai.
