All of my appointments here have been consistently canceled and rescheduled multiple times. Every time I book an appointment, I expect it to be canceled at least twice before it actually happens. This is extremely disappointing and frustrating!
I believe I've been going to Sutter Health for a very long time. All the doctors and nurses are changing, and they have a bad attitude towards me. At first, I started without any medication, but then they gave me medicine that doesn't work. I was going to start a diabetes class, but I never wanted to join that class. The first lady was okay and respectful, but then another person took over. All I kept hearing was, "Try me; don't give your mom hard work; try me" over and over, which upset me. They treated me like I was a criminal from jail. I yelled at her and explained that I never asked for help, yet she took advantage of me and forced me to sign some kind of documents. Then, a nurse was assigned to me who seemed to have something against me. She jokes around with my mom and others, but she treated me poorly. Once, when I got upset, she didn't even know why I was upset. She's getting into other people's business; she should stay out of mine. For five years, she has been mean to me but nice to others. My third problem is with Dr. Allison, who keeps cutting my wellness checks, removing my autism diagnosis, and only labeling me as depressed and suicidal. This place is changing.
Extremely Disappointed with Sutter Health – Failing Patients When They Need Help Most I’ve been a Sutter Health patient for 24 years, but this experience might be the final straw. My adult son has been trying to get an appointment for the past three days, and we’ve hit nothing but roadblocks. Although he’s been seen at Sutter within the past year, they now claim he must “re-establish” with a primary care doctor because he hasn’t seen his assigned doctor in the last three years. The reason? Every time he tried to make an appointment, they were fully booked and referred him to urgent care or walk-in services instead. Now, his original doctor is no longer accepting new patients, and we’ve been told he has to start over with someone new — but there are no appointments available anywhere until July. They’ve checked locations from Elk Grove to Stockton to Roseville and still came up empty. When asked to book an appointment for July, was then told oh sorry there aren’t any new patient doctors available. This is completely unacceptable. My son is experiencing a mental health issue that needs attention now, and the only suggestion we’ve received is to go to urgent care “for advice.” Mental health is not an urgent care problem. It needs continuity, care, and timely intervention. We are now on Day 3 of calling, pleading, and escalating — only to be told “sorry, nothing we can do.” We need someone to contact us immediately and make this right. What’s most frustrating is that we have solid insurance that’s been with Sutter for over two decades, and yet when we need care the most, we’re left with no support, no solutions, and no compassion. Sutter, you need to do better. If this is the state of your system — dropping patients due to access issues and then offering no path forward — people will and should look elsewhere. There are far better options out there for healthcare that actually care about their patients.
Went here to accompany my daughter and needed to use restroom, building one. Went in and there were two stalls, one of which had no door. The other was occupied by a Mama and two little ones, so I had to wait. Couldn't find another RR nearby. Shame on you Sutter for not having a door on the stall in a building with no other (easily located) public restrooms! I expect more from an established, wealthy medical establishment.
I have visited the Sutter Medical Plaza in Elk Grove for many years since the building was brand new 30+ years ago. Sutter did several significant expansions to the medical facility many years ago. The facility looks dated now. But it still does what it should do. I hope Sutter Medical Group will remodel this facility to make it look more like the facility with a modern design! The building looks like an old hospital, and I don’t think it’s good for the patient's psychological health!
