Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Cataract SurgeryThe clouded natural lens of the eye is removed and replaced with a clear artificial one. It is one of the most common outpatient procedures performed in the country, usually takes under 30 minutes per eye, and is done under light sedation with numbing drops rather than general anesthesia.LASIK / Refractive SurgeryA laser reshapes the cornea to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism, reducing dependence on glasses or contacts. The procedure itself takes minutes per eye. Vision is often noticeably better within a day, though it can take several weeks to fully stabilize.Glaucoma SurgeryCreates a new drainage path for fluid inside the eye to lower internal pressure. Glaucoma damages the optic nerve silently, so the goal is preventing further vision loss rather than restoring vision already lost. Several minimally invasive options are now performed in outpatient settings.Retinal SurgeryRepairs the light-sensitive tissue at the back of the eye, most often for a detached or torn retina, or for bleeding related to diabetes. Timing matters โ€” a detaching retina is treated urgently because delay increases the risk of permanent vision loss.Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)Removes excess skin and fat from the upper or lower eyelids. When drooping upper lids block part of the visual field, the procedure is functional rather than cosmetic and is often covered by insurance if visual field testing documents the obstruction.Corneal TransplantReplaces damaged or clouded corneal tissue with donor tissue. Modern techniques often replace only the affected layer rather than the full thickness, which shortens recovery. Vision improves gradually over months, and stitches may stay in place for a year or longer.

I've been coming to this location for 4yrs. Dr. Donaldson is my Eye Specialist. Dr. Donaldson is very friendly, has a wonderful personality, makes you feel at ease, and takes the time to explain clearly. He recently performed "Cataract" surgery on my right eye. (The left to follow soon) That experience was Great! I was well informed about the procedure and felt completely comfortable Trusting Dr Donaldson with the care of my eyes. I believe when you have a Great Dr, keep him/her as I do. The staff has always been very friendly and the waiting areas are clean and comfortably as well as the bathrooms being clean. I highly recommend "Inland Eye Specialist" for the care of your eyes.๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

Everything was wonderful from the guy at the front desk, to the technician , to Dr. McCleary. I felt cared for, respected, and that everyone was knowledgeable about my care. I did have to follow up because the referral that I was given didnโ€™t have the diagnosis on it. So I had to deal with getting that information to my GP. Otherwise, I was pleased with my care.

First time patient here. The office has amazingly beautiful, stunning decor, large sitting atea, nice assortment of glasses to choose from and fitting area to sit with a consultant after exam to discuss/,buy glasses on the spot. While waiting to be seen, all the staff were friendly, smiling, helpful and I even saw one of the doctors walking down the hallway high five an assistant while she was also walking the hall the opposite way It was nice to see that as it made it feel like the business is a fun, family like atmosphere. Seems like the doctors treat their staff well. Overall, I was very happy to have my eye exam here as it was a relaxing, thorough, and enjoyable experience from start to finish.

This was my first time at this location, and I really loved my experience. I came on a Wednesday, which is typically one of the busiest days of the week, but the staff did not let that sway how they treated their patients. Every single person that I had the pleasure of interacting with was nothing short but kind, patient, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. The eye doctors here really are intelligent, and thorough. The office itself is centrally located, and easy to find. It was clean, and the staff made it a point to thoroughly wipe down all stations before, and after use. I highly recommend this place. Thank you all, and God bless!! โœจ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

Today I went in to get my eyes checked and I saw David S. McCleary, O.D., F.A.A.O. - I really liked Dr. McCleary and will see him again. When I was living in Wildomar, I went to their Murrieta office and saw John J. McDiarmid, O.D. and I really liked him, but didn't want to make the drive from Hemet to Murrieta. Also when I was in Wildomar J. Grant Tew, M.D., F.A.C.S., did my cataract surgery. I'm very glad that I decided to try a new doctor at one of their other offices because I'm so impressed with this group that I would go to any of their doctors now. The office staff was also very nice and extremely helpful. It is so nice when you can go someplace and feel so comfortable that they have taken really good care of you. I also recommend the eye test that they offer you that is an extra $39 that is not covered by insurance because it is instead of them dilating your eyes. I like to have that done because it gives you much more detailed information about what's going on with your eye health.
