The staff was very nice and informative. But the dr was very rude to his assistant in front of me. During the procedure, I woke up.

They canceled last minute on me twice, then I finally went for the procedure on a third appointment and they charged me a copay beforehand that I shouldn’t have paid, then they told me and my designated driver all was well when I was in the recovery room—“great, healthy colon“—then they tried to get me to pay $295 afterwards when I was all doped up, and then they sent a bill for $395 even though the medical group said I owed $0. Called their billing person who didn’t even have a record of the bill for $395 for “misc services”. Shady and unprofessional…perhaps even unethical.

This has to be the worst, poorly organized medical practice there is. They make reservations for wrong time, they don't return calls, & they blatantly lie to patients. I will ve writing a detailed letter to the Dr so he is made aware of how his practice is being 'managed'.. I've already shared my experience with my primary care physician.

Dr Nakka has seen my brother and my husband. He is straight and to the point and perhaps a bit on the clinical side. That being said, the SGMGI is a good practice and nice staff. The facilities are clean and the nurse was especially kind to my brother who is mentally challenged.

By default one star is a minimum rating you can give. While the entry level staff is very attentive and polite, "Providing compassionate care" is not the practice of Dr. Nakka. To tell my mother in a sarcastic tone: "you are 84 years old, how long do you want to live, to 100?" when she came to seek help for her stomach problems, IS NOT THE WAY TO TREAT A PATIENT. Perhaps Dr. Nakka has not attended classes on bedside manners. My mother was humiliated and sent home with out being examined. I will let the insurance company know what doctors they have in their medical group.
