Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Epidural Steroid InjectionsSteroid medication is injected near irritated spinal nerve roots to calm inflammation causing sciatica or arm pain. Often used to make physical therapy tolerable rather than as a standalone cure. There are limits on how frequently they can be repeated.Nerve Block InjectionsAnesthetic, sometimes with steroid, is injected around a specific nerve to interrupt pain signals. Used both to treat pain and to identify its source, since relief from a precisely placed block points to the nerve responsible.Radiofrequency AblationHeat generated by radio waves disables the small nerves carrying pain signals from an arthritic spinal joint. Relief commonly lasts six months to two years. Because the nerves regenerate over time, the procedure can be repeated.Spinal Cord StimulationA device delivers mild electrical pulses to the spinal cord to interrupt chronic pain signals before they reach the brain. A temporary trial period is done first, so you can judge the benefit before committing to a permanent implant.Joint InjectionsSteroid or lubricating medication is injected directly into an arthritic or inflamed joint. Image guidance is often used to confirm placement. Relief typically lasts weeks to months and can make physical therapy more productive.Trigger Point InjectionsA local anesthetic is injected into a taut, tender knot of muscle to break the spasm-and-pain cycle. The appointment takes minutes and you can usually return to normal activity the same day.

Dr. Tawanze and his team saved my eyesight, repairing my detached retina on a weekend. Very responsive in an emergency situation. Thanks!

The office appears broken beyond repair or trust. Our doctor recommended we do a procedure here, and told me to call their phone to schedule. I've called 12 times over the past week. Nobody ever answers the phone. It just rolls over into voicemail. I've left three voicemail messages, nobody has ever called me back. I called again this morning, and I can't even leave a message, because the voicemail box is full. The system is so bad that it can't even give me the hours of operation. When I press 1 for "hours and directions," it just punts me to the same voicemail box. If they can't bother to talk to me, how would I trust them with medical services? I don't think I could. I think I'm done with this.

The Phone receptionist ladies upfront never pick up the phone. I call and call and call and never get through. This has been an ongoing issue from the beginning. Management needs to look into this immediately! This is horrible customer service.

The Drs are great & staff but cant get ahold of their billing office to pay my bill. I have lft numerous voice mails on their billing VM when I get my bill & no one ever picks up the billing line nor do I get a return call. If you want my $$ at this point you can call me. 5 voice mails in 2 wks- with no call back. Ridiculous

The front desk is impossible to get through to. Been trying to call 5 days straight for an appointment and even text their phone line. I told them to just schedule me any day and time the first 2 weeks of Nov and I’ll do it since it’s impossible to talk to someone. After reaching out to Synovation Medical Group (different office from the surgery center) and told them I couldn’t get through, they said they’d leave a message for the front desk there. Only then did someone finally call me back BUT left a message not w a scheduled day but for me to call them back to schedule. So I’m in the same loop I started. It’s so frustrating because I still have days I don’t feel well… and the fact that I might have to drive to this office just to schedule an appointment makes me so angry I even have to get treatment there. If it wasn’t for Dr. Levine who is great at what he does and if I wasn’t in need of a cervical epidural now, I would go somewhere else. It’s insane how many times horrible receptionists make it where I want to switch locations because they make it hell to get anything done.
