Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

ColonoscopyA flexible camera examines the full length of the colon to screen for cancer and remove polyps before they become cancerous. Done under sedation, it typically takes 30 to 60 minutes. The bowel prep the day before is the part most patients find hardest.Upper Endoscopy (EGD)A thin camera passed through the mouth examines the esophagus, stomach, and the first part of the small intestine. Used to investigate persistent heartburn, difficulty swallowing, unexplained bleeding, or abdominal pain. Usually takes 15 to 30 minutes under sedation.Flexible SigmoidoscopyExamines the lower portion of the colon only, rather than its full length. Preparation is lighter than a full colonoscopy and sedation is sometimes unnecessary, but it cannot detect problems higher in the colon.Capsule EndoscopyYou swallow a vitamin-sized camera that photographs the small intestine as it passes through — a region that standard scopes cannot easily reach. There is no sedation and no recovery. The capsule passes naturally, and images are reviewed after the fact.ERCPCombines endoscopy and X-ray imaging to diagnose and treat blockages in the bile and pancreatic ducts, most often gallstones stuck in a duct. Unlike a routine endoscopy, it carries a meaningful risk of pancreatitis afterward, so it is used when treatment is likely rather than for screening alone.Hemorrhoid TreatmentShrinks or removes swollen veins in the rectum and anus using rubber band ligation, injection, or surgical removal depending on severity. Banding is quick and typically requires no anesthesia; surgical removal is more effective for advanced cases but recovery is noticeably more uncomfortable.

Good surgical experience. Terrible and billing and customer service. They charged upfront when the process was covered by insurance. Neither I, nor Cigna can get a response from the office. Sounds like I'm not the only one with this experience. Seems a bit like insurance fraud or fraudulent billing. Hey Hugo - I responded yesterday 11/25/25. No acknowledgement of the email. Seems pretty typical for this business. Even Cigna suggested I call the State Medical Board since the office doesn't respond.

I’m putting this review here so other patients can stay informed. If you have a procedure here, make sure your loved ones stay with you until you are fully discharged, and ask very specific questions about whether there were any complications — even ones later described as “procedural complications.” In my case, my discharge paperwork said there were no complications. But my ASC record shows a Code Blue was called, and Sutter later reclassified it as a “procedural complication.” None of this was explained to me at the time. I was discharged to a ride home, and my emergency contact was never called, despite what had happened. It has now been seven months, and I am still fighting to get proper care and answers. Patients deserve honesty and transparency. Please advocate for yourself, request your full records, and make sure your support person or emergency contact is involved and informed. Update: Sutter’s public response directed me back to their Patient Resource Center. I tried working with them, but my concerns remain unresolved. My review reflects what happened during my procedure and the ongoing lack of accountability.

The staff was great. Jennifer, who was the nurse helping me when I was first brought back, was fantastic! Everyone was friendly, helpful, and concerned about how I was doing. I couldn’t have been happier with how I was treated during my visit.

My husband and I both had our procedures done at this facility and were treated with exceptional care from the moment we got there until the moment we were discharged. The staff is caring and professional, the facility is clean, and the doctors are amazing. It was truly a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend this place to anyone needing a procedure.
