Everything WORKS here. This center is affiliated with Sutter, but mostly privately owned, and it shows in the personality & services (so much better than the usual Sutter facilities...). From pre- admission information, to registration, to pre-op prep, to the OR, to post-op recovery, to transport. Kind, skilled, efficient, non-"algorithmic" medical care. Even ahead of time; little waiting around. As one who is both a medical professional (I'm a surgeon), and who had been a "guest" in too many hospitals & surgical centers in the past 10 years(many orthopedic procedures, etc.), this is one of my best experiences. "Sweet" anesthesia (thanks, Dr. Clayton), skilled surgery (thanks, Dr. Payvandi), and "caring care" from all the nurses and ancillary staff whose names I'm embarrassed I failed to grasp in my para-surgical haze. Cheers!!

I can’t say enough good things about my experience here. Dr Lou (anesthesiologist) was compassionate, kind, and professional. I’m a nervous patient and prone to anxiety and she did everything she could to make me comfortable and head off a panic attack. Julia was also incredible. She placed my IV’s and I experienced no physical discomfort. She was also extremely professional and did everything she could to reassure me that I’d be well taken care of. The Dr who did my surgery isn’t someone I’d go back to but I will happily find another surgeon who uses this surgery center because the staff there was incredible. I’m very pleased and I wish I could remember the names of everyone because they all deserve acknowledgement for the great work they do. I hope they see this and know that they made a very stressful situation so much better for me.

I've had carpal tunnel surgery on each hand in the last year and trigger thumb last week at this facility. I'm not a Sutter member as this was done with workman's comp. I must say that this is a great facility. The staff is always professional, friendly and helpful from intake to recovery. Dr Payvandi did all of my surgeries. Highly recommend.

I had my trigger thumb release surgery done at Sutter Alhambra Surgery Center and highly recommend going to their facility for Orthopedic surgery. I was very appreciative of the excellent and personalized care I received by Dr. Steiner, who is a very professional and genuinely nice orthopedic surgeon. I was very impressed by the quality surgical care team and nurses at the facility who assisted with my surgery today. They were all very helpful and nice. I have an autoimmune disease and I spend a lot of time in and out of medical offices and appointments so it is really nice to be treated like an actual person and not just a number. I'm really glad I am under the competent care of Dr. Steiner and his team. Thank you!

Excellent facility and exemplary care for my daughter! Everyone was kind, caring and beyond understanding to my discomfort of not being allowed to stay with my daughter due to COVID restrictions. They allowed FaceTime so I could be a part of the conversations with the doctor, anesthesiologist and meet all the nurses on her team. If you are scheduled to have care here you can ease any anxieties! They were the best! Thank you everyone for taking care of my baby so well….In her anesthetic state, on the drive home, she kept saying “everyone was so nice mom” and “everyone treated me so nicely” As far as I’m concerned, those are the best 5 stars you can get!!!
