Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Knee ArthroscopyA camera and small instruments are inserted through incisions the size of a buttonhole to repair cartilage, trim a torn meniscus, or remove loose fragments. Because the joint is not opened fully, recovery is far faster than traditional open knee surgery.Shoulder ArthroscopyUses a small camera and instruments through tiny incisions to repair the shoulder joint — commonly for impingement, labral tears, or damaged cartilage. Most patients go home the same day and begin physical therapy within the first week.ACL ReconstructionRebuilds the torn anterior cruciate ligament using a graft, since a fully torn ACL does not heal on its own. The surgery itself is outpatient, but returning to cutting and pivoting sports typically takes nine to twelve months of structured rehabilitation.Rotator Cuff RepairReattaches torn tendons in the shoulder to the bone. Pain relief often comes well before strength does — a sling is typical for several weeks and full recovery commonly takes four to six months, with physical therapy doing much of the work.Carpal Tunnel ReleaseCuts the ligament pressing on the median nerve at the wrist to relieve numbness, tingling, and night pain in the hand. The procedure takes about 15 minutes under local anesthesia. Night symptoms often improve immediately; grip strength returns over several weeks.Joint ReplacementDamaged joint surfaces are replaced with implants, most commonly at the knee or hip. Once exclusively a hospital procedure, selected healthy patients now have this done at surgery centers and go home the same day with a structured recovery plan.

My Experience at Seven Oaks Outpatient Surgery Center (10/22) I had surgery yesterday at Seven Oaks Outpatient Surgery Center, and I wanted to share my experience. I came in already anxious about having surgery, and unfortunately, my anxiety increased at check-in. The clerk’s demeanor felt cold and impersonal—no greeting or introduction, minimal eye contact, and I had to ask her name. It felt very “cattle call” style. Thankfully, my experience turned around the moment I met Cara, RN, who was both my pre-op and post-op nurse. Cara was amazing—she introduced herself clearly with her name and title, her badge was visible, and she explained everything with a calm, reassuring smile. Her energy was exactly what I needed. Without knowing I’m also a registered nurse, she treated me with respect and dignity. As a nurse myself, I noticed the details that the average patient might not—this team on 10/22 was on point. Despite being short-staffed, everyone worked together seamlessly, communicated well, and supported one another. You wouldn’t have known they were short that day. I also want to mention Erin, my OR nurse, who greeted me with a smile, introduced herself, and explained each step of the process. Both nurses radiated the kind of compassion and professionalism that remind me what nursing is truly about—making patients feel safe, cared for, and confident they’re in good hands. Then there was Andrew from the anesthesiology team. He introduced himself warmly, asked relevant and thoughtful questions, and even took a moment to ask what led me to surgery. That extra bit of curiosity showed genuine care—it wasn’t just a routine interview. The surgery itself went smoothly. In recovery, I was again cared for by Cara, RN, who was patient, attentive, and included my husband in her explanations and teaching. She made sure I was comfortable before discharge and never made me feel rushed. Overall, I’m extremely happy with the care I received. I even told my husband afterward that I wouldn’t mind working at a place like this. Thank you, Seven Oaks team, for reminding me what patient-centered care looks like.

Was supposed to have surgery tomorrow. Due to the surgical center not following up with my insurance in a timely manner my surgery was canceled. Never notified me. The doctors office was upset with them for waiting so long to get authorization for my surgery. They had over a month to contact RR medicare for a contract but waited until two days before.extremely unprofessional and very poor customer service. Will never schedule anything there again. BEWARE.

I had total left hip arthroplasty at Seven Oaks. Arrived in the morning. I was discharged by about 5 pm same day. As soon as I woke up from recovery. I knew the surgery was successful. All of the pain and problems were already gone. I noticed it immediately. My surgery was over 2 weeks ago and I feel great! I had a few down days but overall my road to recovery has been smooth sailing. Thank you to everybody at Seven Oaks...my surgeon Dr Burton, my anesthesiologist Mark, and my fabulous nurse Judy. I actually received a call from Seven Oaks today. They were checking on how surgery went, how I was doing, etc. Excellent job - very professional.
