They care about their patients. I don't feel like I'm going to a doctor's office. Everyone is so nice and makes sure that I get what I need. I don't want to go anywhere else. Patient for life.

Comprehensive was acquired last summer (2025) by California Pain. The process at CA Pain does not have your attending Dr. track your case, essentially another Dr. tracks a bunch of patients they don’t actually treat, including at least some follow ups. The treatment/attending Dr. may read some notes, but they basically walk in, verify treatment (shot location in my case), then completes the treatment, that’s it. IMO this totally disconnects the doctor-patient relationship and in my case has resulted in very poor service and not only ineffective treatment, but treatment that is causing increasing pain. The ‘tracking Dr’ didn’t even have accurate records of my treatment, so how can he discuss treatment or make changes to the treatment plan? I cannot recommend either of these pain clinics, though Comprehensive technically no longer exists.

I have always felt very safe and respected by the staff and Dr. Timothy Chong. He takes pride in being a Doctor and has compassion for his patients. I'm very grateful to be one of them. Dr. Chong is very thorough and respectful. He takes a lot of pride in his work. Which makes getting a procedure done by him (in the surgical center ) a comfotable experience. He has a very sturdy hand and is thoughtful and gentle durring a procedure. You know that it will be done with the proper care, precision, and professionalism that is to be expected. I have 19 years of experience with pain management specialists And I have experienced the best to the worst possible treatments you couldnt even imagine possible. And have had some of the worst experiences that i have PTSD surrounding those experiences. Let me just integrate, I am so grateful to be in Dr. Timothy Chong's care as his paient. He is compassionate about being a doctor. He makes sure he is providing you with the best possible care that he can offer you. He actually takes the time to review your records. Then approaches you with a plan. He also allows you to be part of your treatment by engaging in conversation with you and your Doctors. He takes the time to listen and answers any questions or concerns you may have and creates a solid plan with you that makes the most sence and that you are comfortable with. I'm very fortunate to be one of his patients. I highly recommend him. As he was highly referred to by me. Thank you Comprehensive Pain Management staff and Dr.Timothy Chong for your exceptional care.

My wife has had the pain management assistance from Dr. Chisholm since 2005. He is a Top Notch specialist. I was rear ended in a crash at a red light in 2020. Initially I just took my PCP's recommendation for a pain management specialist because they were closer to my house. This was not a good experience for many reasons. Among those reasons was that the Dr. assigned to me left the practice after just over a year. Luckily my wife reminded me of Dr. Chisholm at Comprehensive Pain Management. Thank God! It is about 30 minutes away from my house, but it is completely worth the drive. Dr. Chisholm and his team were able to explain to me how the pain management techniques we were using could work in concert with my weekly physical therapy. The synergy has offered me such an incredible boost from the depths of pain where I had been dwelling. I would recommend the Comprehensive Pain Management team to anyone in my family. They are professional, knowledgeable they have years of experience and have helped me a great deal.

After 2 years of not having health insurance, I was so excited to finally have a good plan especially after the Obamacare disaster. I had really high hopes about CPMS because they called me to schedule the initial visit and also continued calling with my pain management test results, referrals, etc I AM SO DISAPPOINTED!!! The "bedside manner" from the specialist I was referred to was even worse than the Primary I had to see in order to get a quick appointment. Dr Dennis Mamaril was indifferent, impersonal but NOTHING like the complete lack of compassion and total absence of professionalism I experienced when I saw Dr Chong. He only spent enough time with me to get a check from my insurance company. He was rude and never even looked me in the eye or saw me as a human being. It would take an hour to write every miserably negative detail about my visit so instead I will just warn any potential patients - its worth the wait to see someone good. Theres a good reason these 2 charlatans are able to "fit you in" no matter what you have or dont have, during a Pandemic, etc and its NOT patient care. Good luck & God bless to everyone out there.
