The size of the space is just a minor aspect; what truly matters is the professionalism of the staff. It's a quality that stands out and isn't easy to find everywhere. Regardless of how small or large the space may be, the dedication and expertise of the team make all the difference in delivering high-quality service.
I had an appointment to see Dr. Bathia for an epidural steroid injection (L5-S1 disc herniation) and from check in to discharge, the process and staff were pretty amazing. The office is clean, it’s all very straightforward and I felt so supported throughout the procedure. Dr. Bathia talked me through it every step of the way, and while it’s not exactly comfortable (or painless), it was a really great experience that will hopefully pave the way for me to be out of pain.
I drove from Sacramento to SF for my 19 year old son to have surgery here and when they called his name to go back, we were told there was only room for him and, I, his mother would see him after surgery. No communication in between like a normal surgery center to track progress (pre-op, in surgery, post op) whatsoever. I find it completely unprofessional they would not not allow one person to be with my son before surgery. Had I known this, the surgery would have been scheduled elsewhere, preferably at Saint Mary’s Hospital where you are treated with much more compassion. Your paying for this, folks, so be sure you are okay being alone the entire process before scheduling your surgery here because you have other choices usually. I can’t imagine a space so small they wouldn’t allow one person in for support.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS one of the most over hyped, least caring, MOST UNETHICAL orthopedic surgeons (Dr. William Montgomery ) you will ever find. Don't let his charm fool you. He only cares to get paid..BELIEVE ME I STILL LIVE WITH THE SUFFERING I ENDURED IN HIS HANDS. To him, you are just about $$$ This review is real and authentic and comes after years of pain in the hands of Dr Montgomery III I went to Dr Montgomery in 1999 while i was a student in SF. I was in my mid 20s. Torn meniscus, pretty easy procedure, no problem. 2 years later, despite undergoing a nice rehab and not being super athletic, I had to go to back to Dr Montgomery and he diagnosed me with torn meniscus again. another surgery, this time they insisted on a private facility, which I now realize is pacific heights (nice job Dr stealing from patients and botching their surgeries to build your surgery empire!) . He charged my insurance $50k for a procedure worth $15k at the time. Worse, he had his disciple David do it for him since he had about over 15 surgeries that day (of course he was operating a factory with no attention span to any patient!) I since moved to NYC, and my knee never recovered and found myself yet again at a orthopedics dept at columbia university. they diagnosed me with another torn meniscus and upon further review, they blamed it on a poor job done in the prior two surgeries. I tried to complain from NYC to his office but as you can imagine they would not even respond to my inquiries. I even left VMs but to no avail. I strongly urge anyone thinking about having a surgery done by him to STRONGLY RECONSIDER YOUR CHOICE OF SURGEONS. You are risking your long long term health being operated on by a Dr whose only purpose is to collect $$. I PROMISE THIS REVIEW IS THE TRUTH AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH..I AM EMOTIONAL BECAUSE I ENDURED TOO MUCH PAIN BECAUSE OF POOR ETHICS.
I had to get surgery (ORIF) for my broken clavicle and the staff here was extremely friendly and attentive. It is a small outpatient facility but the interior and the surgical rooms are very clean and sterile. As this was my first surgery, you can bet I was a nervous wreck and in tears (yes) but the entire staff and the RN's made me feel as comfortable as possible (warm blankets while nervously waiting can do wonders!). The medical staff all have great bed side manners, and take their time to thoroughly explain each step/procedure so I was never uncertain about what was going to happen next. The staff even called me later that day to see how I was doing post-surgery! Even though I was dreading my surgery, I was VERY satisfied with my experience and would highly recommend coming to this facility if outpatient surgery is required.
