1/20/2026 - Still waiting for Presidio Surgery center to refund me. My insurance paid them in full months ago. Despite calling multiple times now with the response "they are working on the refund", I finally reported them to the Better Business Bureau. Really horrible experience with the Presidio Surgery Center. I met my deductible and my insurance covered for two procedures I had done but I was still charged for both procedures at the surgery center before they can even do the intake process. I called my insurance to see what was going on and they confirmed that for both instances I overpaid and the Presidio Surgery Center needs to give me a refund. My insurance called about 8 or 9 times now and still no response. They keep getting passed on from one person to another. I'm not sure how they are legally running this business by forcing patients to overpay on the day of their surgery.

I paid for my surgery prior. There is some sort of contract issue between them and my insurance. Explanation of benefit was sent to them and they received it. I stated that my insurance indicates I overpaid and I was entitled to a refund. No response since then. It has been 2 months. The issue is between them and the insurance and not me. Edit: Thank you for the response. I have called the Presidio Billing Team multiple times and left them voicemails to respond. They have yet to call me back. The last communication was that the representative would ask management to issue a refund. That was over a month ago. The issue is that I was overcharged per my health insurance. They have stated this and the position of the billing team is that the contracted amount does not reflect "a new agreement." As a patient, I should not be placed in a contract dispute between your surgery center and my insurance. I have called my own insurance multiple times and they have confirmed that I have overpaid per the terms.

I love this place. The staff are excellent. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. The nursing staff are warm, kind and supportive. If is very comforting and calming to have this kind of care when there is potentially so much anxiety around having it.

Presidio Surgery Center is simply amazing. I just had Surgery on 8/7 there and they gave me the best care. Before my surgery unfortunately I had a horrible migraine and was not able to take anything. But after talking with the nurses they were able to give me something to help and were so accommodating. The nurse that was checking me in shut the lights off in the room we were in and made sure I had an ice pack for my head. After I got into my gown and headed to have my IV placed they did the same thing there. Everyone was so kind and understanding of the migraine pain that I was in. Thank you Presidio for being so kind to me and giving me top notch care

This is the fourth time I have had surgery at the Presidio Surgery Center within the last 12 years. My overall experience has been outstanding each time. Three different doctors from a San Francisco UCSF practice have performed four different (separate) procedures on me using Presidio Surgery Center. On this last particular hip replacement procedure, each one of the Staff, Nurses, PAs and especially the Surgeon and Anesthesiologist were extremely courteous, caring, efficient and professional. Although I do not desire needing another surgery/procedure, IF a repair or replacement is necessary on a joint, ligaments, tendons or nerves on any of my arms, legs or extremities, Presidio Surgery Center would absolutely be the place I would want the procedure performed at! I have nothing less than 5 Stars to give them and their operation.
