I appreciate all the attention explanation and care they gave us during this knee replacement experience. Care of patients attention to family of patient. I really value appreciate the care and attention thank you. This place made the surgery time feel like 15 minutes. I wasn’t worried afraid and they answered my question as many times as I walked up to ask. The plasmas TV showing my loved ones process and when he was at all minutes. My best medical hospital experience in my life. Thank you Dr Bawa

Thousand Oaks Surgical Center is a fantastic hospital but it does not feel or look like a hospital. Every room is private with windows and bathroom, along with a sitting area. The entire staff was friendly, helpful, and very professional! I had a hip replacement and ended up spending the night. The amount of care I received was amazing! I have all the names of the individuals which include nurses, doctors, that I came in contact with, and listed them in a Los Robles Hospital survey. To top it off, the food was excellent!

TOSH was probably the best hospital experience I have ever had. I had a total knee replacement here and everyone from registration to physical therapy were absolutely top notch. I cant remember all of my nurse's names but preop nurse was fabulous, postoperative Marianna, Ari, Mary, Cindy and Brianna were wonderful. Dr Bawa, Dr Lam and PA Lauren...I cannot thank you enough. I'd give 10 stars if I could.

I truly wanted to give TOSH a 5 star review. I came here recently for a double mastectomy. Dr Nikita Shah is the absolute best. I stayed overnight and Dr. Shah saw me first thing, the next day, to make sure I was doing well and recovering nicely. The nurses - Marilou, Dawn, Charli, Mariana, Ari and Iman (I hope I spelled her name right) were great! Especially, Charli... I just have to give her props. So why am I only giving TOSH 3 stars? Because of the charge/lead nurse, Cindy. I will call her out - you do not speak to your colleagues the way you speak to them in front, in ear shot, or at all the way you spoke to one of them around me. One of the nurses came in to check my vitals. And mind you, it started getting busy. I can hear their bells going off... as my nurse finished up, she walks out and I heard Cindy ask her once "What were you doing?" My nurse answered, CLEARLY, "I just checked her vitals." Cindy asked a second time, the SAME question in an insolent tone. My nurse was in mid sentence to repeat herself, when Cindy just walks in the room, looks at me and asks "I was just checking, did she just take your vitals?" Umm... I was a bit confused and very much taken aback. I answered yes (of course). Wow. The second time Cindy wanted to make herself important was to walk in as my nurse was going over discharge papers and how to drain my drainage pouches, before I left to go home. Cindy states, in that same insolent voice of hers "I am here to see if she cleared your table" (my lunch or what was left of it was still on the table). Cindy sees it's not cleared and proceeds to take it away. There was an unopened "to go" bowl of salad I wanted for later, so I politely asked if it would be okay for me to take it. She asks me to repeat myself. I did. And she just gives me this sneering look. That was so unprofessional and left me feeling like I was beneath her. The last thing she did as my nurse was about to wheel me out for pick up was to blatantlyi gnore her. My nurse wanted to double check that she was good to go in getting me wheeled out. As we were exiting the hospital room, my nurse asks Cindy, "I am taking her out now, is that okay?" NO RESPONSE. Cindy is looking right at us. Again, my nurse asks "Can I take her out now?" By this time, the other nurse who was helping with me that morning steps out from another room, same distance away as Cindy and waves us off as if to say, yes it's okay. One person! It took just one person to make such a wonderful facility, filled with compassionate and caring professionals become such a bad experience. I don't understand how Cindy was the lead. I won't even put the title of Nurse in front of her name. She doesn't deserve it. You may have gone to school, received your degree, but this "job" isn't for you. I didn't ask to have cancer nor was it one of my life's goals to undergo a double mastectomy. But, Cindy, you chose to be a Nurse and work at TOSH - at least be good at it. I spent time away from my loving family and little boy just to be subjected to your unprofessionalism. Truly, truly disheartening.

Any kind of surgery can be stressful, however, spinal surgery is a little more serios than usual. From my first contact with nurse Leslie, to checking in with Carolyn to my admission nurse Lynn, to my surgical nurse Nuni, along with Sebastian and my anesthesiologist Wayne, made me feel at ease. They were kind, considerate, calm and patient. I also had to stay over night. My nurses Angela, Molly and especially Laura ( I believe that was her name; I was a little out of it) were soooo kind, attentive, and best of all had great senses of humor; which really helps in stressful times. The room and the food (yes, hospital food!) were fantastic. I actually wanted to move in! Thank you all at TOSH
