Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Cataract SurgeryThe clouded natural lens of the eye is removed and replaced with a clear artificial one. It is one of the most common outpatient procedures performed in the country, usually takes under 30 minutes per eye, and is done under light sedation with numbing drops rather than general anesthesia.LASIK / Refractive SurgeryA laser reshapes the cornea to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism, reducing dependence on glasses or contacts. The procedure itself takes minutes per eye. Vision is often noticeably better within a day, though it can take several weeks to fully stabilize.Glaucoma SurgeryCreates a new drainage path for fluid inside the eye to lower internal pressure. Glaucoma damages the optic nerve silently, so the goal is preventing further vision loss rather than restoring vision already lost. Several minimally invasive options are now performed in outpatient settings.Retinal SurgeryRepairs the light-sensitive tissue at the back of the eye, most often for a detached or torn retina, or for bleeding related to diabetes. Timing matters — a detaching retina is treated urgently because delay increases the risk of permanent vision loss.Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)Removes excess skin and fat from the upper or lower eyelids. When drooping upper lids block part of the visual field, the procedure is functional rather than cosmetic and is often covered by insurance if visual field testing documents the obstruction.Corneal TransplantReplaces damaged or clouded corneal tissue with donor tissue. Modern techniques often replace only the affected layer rather than the full thickness, which shortens recovery. Vision improves gradually over months, and stitches may stay in place for a year or longer.

I needed some saline solution for my contacts after the procedure and they don't have it. The nurse said it is a surgery center. Wow what an answer for a eye center. I am expecting at least they have it.

The doctor is amazing! I felt like nothing was going on with my eye, he gave me back my vision, and I didn't have any side effects. The nurses and personel did an excellent job too. I'm excited to get surgery in my other eye here too.

I am a surgeon who operates out of this center and have worked at many centers throughout my career. My patients have uniformly given positive feedback about their experience during arguably, one of the most vulnerable experiences in their lives. As a surgeon - the staff, front office, nurses, techs, cleaning team - every single person influences our safety and outcome. I recommend Skypark without hesitation to my patients and other surgeons looking for a place to take care of their patients. Regarding Billing - unfortunately - it is unavoidably complex in our current medical system and issues with Billing are often out of the surgery center's control but I do see them advocating fiercely on their patients' behalf. Thank you Skypark team for all your care and competence!!

Had a positive experience while getting EVO ICL implant with Dr Liu at Skypark surgery center. Check in was quick and efficient. I was also immediately brought into the pre-op area and given clear explanations of what to expect. The facility appeared clean and efficiently run, as I did not feel as though I was waiting excessively for my procedure (tho I may have been one of the first procedures of the day). Nurse Logan took over care during and after the procedure. She was able to keep me calm and well cared for. Dr Liu was able to complete my procedure quickly with the help of the OR staff. Post procedure, I was given clear instructions for discharge, made comfortable while I waited to be picked up. We also had no hassle upon being picked up. Since I paid cash through the provider's office, I have not had to work with the billing department. Overall, I had a generally positive experience where staff met and exceeded all expectations.

I took my son there to have eye surgery. Everyone was very pleasant. The office was clean, the front desk staff and Mitzy the nurse were very sweet and friendly. I felt very comfortable leaving my son there. They called sooner than I expected to pick him up. My son is very happy with his new vision and the results.
