1st hernia surgeon April2025 punctured my bladder and nearly killed me. The post-surgucal care was neglectful. I need my primary care doctor the force him to call in a pain prescription. It took days. This freshly Redone hernia never healed...it hurts more 6 months after the surgery, than before. It has felt wrong and hurts mildly to pee, but continued hernia PAIN led me to get another referral from PCP...I ended back at the same place, but I requested another surgeon from the list obviously listening to my survival instincts. After my initial appointment (choosing less invasive needles before any possible surgery) I was told to come back in one month for a steroidal injection at the site where it is continually sore even with ibuprofen and acetaminophen coursing continuously through my blood. Today I sat here in the waiting room for 2 hours past my appointment. Seems unacceptable for them not to call and postpone my appointment if such stretches of time were needed. Missing communication on their part could save sore humans trying to get properly fixed the additional struggle. You can take my review with a grain of salt because I am a very sensitive person. My positive Reviews are award-winning too. Lol I will edit my review as I progress. But I am 6 months in pain and pissed off how much functionality and happiness this has taken from my life. I even couldn't fly home with my wife on the east coast for our family because the pain of sitting. My review will improve if my problem gets remedied.
First, the hernia doc punctured my husband’s bladder. Then, my healthcare only covers this same office. My husband still has a hernia as confirmed by his PC, and they make you wait OVER AN HOUR for an appointment. Pathetic. I guess our time isn’t valuable? Next open enrollment, I’m DONE with Torrance Memorial, which has really gone downhill and left its patients with lousy “care”. The fact is, they don’t care! This second doc is also ridiculous, down playing my husband’s constant pain.
Dr. Sarah Pivo hands down is the best of the best. She performed surgery on me and besides a few pains here and there I felt great. She is a doctor that is concerned about your well-being and follows whatever she requests all the way to the end. She is a compassionate and caring Dr. I highly recommend Dr. Pivo!!!
My Dr. is Neil Bhayani. What a fantastic human being and surgeon. He took 2 hrs in our first meeting to explain what he thought I had, however he needed to do a number of tests to confirm. He has personally called to let me know results. His staff is excellent and extremely helpful. Hopefully you don't need him, but if you do you're in great hands.
I had a fantastic experience at the Association of South Bay Surgeons. The receptionist was warm and welcoming. I want to express my special gratitude to Sarah, the coordinator, for her outstanding service. She was not only friendly but also incredibly professional, taking the time to go over the upcoming events and steps toward the surgery. I also had a pleasant chat with Dr. Takahashi, my surgeon, in the elevator, even though it was during her lunchtime. This showed their genuine care and gentleness, and we had a very nice, short conversation. Today marked the beginning of what promises to be a positive healthcare journey, thanks to the clinic's professional and friendly staff.
