I got to the center @6:30 for an 8:00. AM procedure. I was having an endoscopy and a colonoscopy. The person who greeted me was very nice. They took me in pretty quickly. The first thing that I notice was the the building was uncomformably cold. I mean very cold. I was prepared for my procedure and I was freezing. I got 1 blanket. I was freezing!! Then just before they came to take me in I told them that I needed to use restroom, the person said “to late now, don’t worry it only takes about 15 minutes, you’ll be fine. They proceeded to take me into the operating room and prep me for my procedure. These people were all skilled and professional. Thanks guys!!! It just happened that the procedure lasted for almost 2 hours. When the nurse woke me up after my procedure she pulled the leads from my chest and I told her to be careful or she would tear my skin. She did.., then she stopped and was more careful. She asked if I could get dressed and I said yes I thought I was ok. After she left I realized I was soaking wet from urine and very cold. I have to admit I had a few blankets on me, but still, I was laying in my own urine. Now, come one… I’m sure someone noticed that. As I started to get dressed, I realize that I really wasn’t ok. I should never have been left alone, I dried off with the blankets and proceeded carefully to put on my cloths. The nurse did come in when I was putting on my shoes and helped me into the wheel chair. In my opinion I should never have been left in a situation where I was laying on a wet gurney and the nurse must have been aware of the extended procedure so waking me up and leaving me alone was really not a good choice on her part. She should have gotten my husband to help me if she was too busy. I’m not happy to write this. I have medical background. I know how hectic things can become. I believe the staff is probably good. However, this was not there day to shine and I was the patient that had to deal with it. Turn up the heat a bit and never leave a patient on a wet gurney in recovery. I’m sure you’ll do better next time. I must say the nurse that put in my IV was very skilled. My anesthesiologist was extremely kind and concerned about my warmth in the surgery room and my Doctor was skilled so I thank them all for that.
If I could give negative stars, I would! Let me start by saying that the PEOPLE who work here are lovely and kind and do a fabulous job. HOWEVER, their billing department and back of house responsiveness is criminally bad. The do not respond to phone calls no matter how often you call or how many messages you leave, there is no way to talk to an actual living human, you cannot pay any bills online or view the status of your bill, you may be paying down your bill but they will still send you to collections anyway. Unless you are 100% confident that your insurance will cover everything, DO NOT have your procedure done here.
At age 75 I’ve had a few procedures here and each time I received 5-star treatment. They are faithful to their schedules and genuinely welcoming, which is appreciated by us seniors in a potentially stressful situation. The atmosphere is uncrowded and unhurried. A private and comfortable enclosed bed area makes for an easy transition to a gown and after the procedure, a pleasant place to kick back while awaiting your ride home. Everything is spotless and a there is no disruptive noise. Most medical procedures are anticipated with apprehension, but when they are done here, for me it is almost like a trip to a spa. To keep up my end of the bargain, I follow pre-procedure instructions and have all my forms filled out for on-site witnessed signature.
Impossible to pay your bill. No online pay option and every phone number provided on the statements only shuffles you to another phone number. Ridiculous that in 2025 there is no online payment option on the billing statement sent in the mail. Billing staff super unhelpful.
This Dentist is a wonderful man. Inside and out, his knowledge, expertise, and no fuss attitude allows you to get there, want to be there, and feel secure that what's needing to be done will get done 100%. I love this dentist. And I appreciate that I feel this way towards him. His staff mirrors him. Thank you!
