1. Sent me to collections, because the mailing address they used for the out of pocket portion of my imaging and surgical bills was wrong. An address not ever related to me. The only bills I ever received were from Bass medical for Dr. Hosseini, that did not specify whether they were for professional or image/surgical, so I thought that was all I owed. I had no idea I was to expect more bills from a *different* billing agency as this is my first time dealing with WCEC! When I called WCEC business office they had my correct mailing address so how this could've happened is beyond me. Before I unraveled all this on my own I had left a voicemail with Mandi asking for help to see what might've gone wrong. She of course never returned my call which seems to be par for the course for her. 2. when I had Questions About a prescription she never returned those either. I Imagine if it's not her problem or if the patient is simply confused, there's no reason to call someone back who might need help understanding. Awesome. Given the habit of not responding it will be interesting to see if there's a counter comment to my review. 2. When I went in for my endoscopy the nurse had on her paperwork that I was there for a colonoscopy !!! I filled out my paperwork in person upon arrival so can't imagine how that got screwed up, thankfully the nurse was paying attention! After my procedure the Dr. Hosseini didn't stick around to talk to me because he "had to run". I get it but I had to wait nearly three weeks for an appointment To learn his findings, which were that I had a bad case of SIBO. That long to receive any antibiotics. The sign on the front desk about not bringing your bad vibes to their office Makes me wonder why they needed to put that there in the first place. Maybe patients have a bad attitude for being poorly handled. The debt collectors closed my case and I have a payment plan with the business office (not with the Lennon Ln., office) for the bill. Also I've chosen a different endoscopy Dr., for any follow up mostly to avoid the ineptitude here.
The medical team here did an excellent job from the doctors, nurses, and staff. They were attentive, prompt, and provided clear discharge instructions. And I got a signed thank you card! Thank you team!
The medical team here genuinely care for your health and well being. They communicate very well with each other as a team and work efficiently to take care of your needs. They were very nice and made me feel important and well cared for. They have a heated cabinet with blankets to ensure you are not under a cold blanket. I can't say enough about them. I will for sure return to this facilities even though I live 20 miles away.
I experienced my first upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy at Walnut Creek Endoscopy today. From the moment of my arrival to my departure I was very impressed by the professionalism, friendliness, and patient attention demonstrated by every person I encountered, staff, nurses, and doctors. The anesthesiologist had me out practically the moment after the mouth device had been inserted and my next memory is waking up in the prep room after the procedures. Will see next steps within two weeks but so far so good. My doctors were Dr. Hosseini and Dr. Cheng. The friend who acted as my driver told me her husband went here too and also had similar comments on his experience.
I had my first routine colonoscopy yesterday with Dr Lisa Higa at the Walnut Creek Endoscopy facility. From start to finish this group of professionals, including the front office staff, RNs, phlebotomist and anesthesiologist, handled me with great care! They put me at ease and the place ran like clockwork - very efficient! My appt was at 2:30 but was told to arrive an hour early to get ready: put on a gown, go to the bathroom (one last time), start IV and other monitors. Dr Higa (gastroenterologist) and Dr B (anesthesiologist) both talked to me before the procedure to explain what they would do and answer all my questions. The most uncomfortable part was the “special” drinks the day before and the morning of. But the drinks definitely clear you out to make the procedure go smoothly and efficiently! When you have to get a colonoscopy, do it with a great team. I highly recommend this facility and Dr Higa!
