My PCP is a gem, and has helped me tremendously addressing many health issues. All of the staff and doctors are caring, and the BMC Pharmacy located inside BMC on Broadway is the BEST in Boulder. The Pharmacy staff is friendly, helpful and work quickly every day. I love Boulder Medical Center.
The Orthopedics Department at BMC is really excellent! I've now had three joint replacement surgeries due to osteoarthritis, performed by Dr. Repine, and have had perfect results. He's very careful, kind, and professional; 6 months after my second knee replacement I'm back at all my exercise classes and activities full strength. Just DO THE EXERCISES if you have joint replacement surgery.
I am seeing a few reviews about the lack of communication from the billing department/ other areas. I have had a similar experience in which I was not contacted at all about a denial that could have been easily fixed if someone had just taken a moment to reach out to me when it initially happened. I am going to try to make this as objective as possible, as I realize a lot of reviews can be filled with a lot of emotion. The denial happened almost a year after my appointment, but I was not emailed or called. I then had to wait almost a month to hear back from the billing department after I started to look into it. I was told that someone would reach out to update me, but after a month of waiting, I had to call myself. Shortly after that and trying to work with my insurance provider, the billing department told me that there was nothing they could do. After seeing a few reviews about this lack of communication stemming from the same area, I really urge Boulder Medical to investigate a better way to navigate billing communication. Health care in the United State's can already be very stressful, and patient's deserve to transparently know what is happening to their physical and financial health. Other than that, I believe the medical care I received was pretty standard and nothing special.
Went here to get my blood drawn and behind the front desk there was a person with a dog coller on ! What someone does outside of work is theirs but there needs to be more of a professional standard then this , particularly at a hospital. Some of the docters here like Karen susskind are great but a totally dysfunctional failing system around them .
I have been in contact with Dave Robert for the past several months regarding a bill for services I never received. The charge is related to an appointment with Samuel Jocobowitz, who ordered blood work when I was scheduled for a physical that should have been covered by my insurance. After months of communication, Dave informed me, he would work with the financial department to dispute the charge. However, today, Tuesday, November 11 I was told that there was nothing that can be done, leaving me responsible for $260 bill for service I did not receive. That experience has been frustrated and unresolved. As a result, I will not return to Boulder Medical Center. Looking forward I will see care at UC health in Fort Collins to ensure proper communication and quality care
