One Star, and it's not so much on the organization as a whole, as it is one particular nurse named OLIVIA. who was VERY rude and confrontational towards my wife and I over a misunderstanding. The comments she made were insulting and somewhat demeaning First she barked at my wife for asking a question. Then after when she told us the we couldn't do the procedure she raised her voice with "We've done TWENTY of these (procedures) today, EVERYONE ELSE did what they were supposed to!! She then proceeded to escort us to the front desk and then said "Ok so reschedule you appointment... OR NOT!" as if to say we weren't welcome back!!! Are you kidding me? I'd made an error in my preparation that was prompted by their OWN staff! so they were unbale to do the procedure. They called me an told me, prior to this incident, that there was NO PREP involved and to just show up, which I did. So they couldn't perform the procedure and i wasted hours of sick time just to get told to go home, RATHER RUDLY that is. I would have been fine if that just that happened, i made a mistake myself, which they are partially to blame for, as i was mislead, but OLIOVIA was VERY RUDE and BELIGERNT toward us and she should disciplined, or better off, FIRED, because we can't be the first people she has been a TOTAL JERK towards.

Dr.Spivak’s entire team at the Endoscopy Center of Fairfield were so supportive and caring: From the intake nurse, Raquel, skilled at finding my veins to the attending Surgical nurse Olivia (who recognized me from my earlier procedure) to the recovery nurse Nora who shared a book recommendation. They were all so patient with my questions and concerns. Dr. Drexel was terrific and assuaged my apprehension with anesthesia by having me envision my favorite vacation spot before I went “under”. Dr. Spivak's bedside manner is warm and gracious and took the time to answer my questions before and after the procedure. And Danielle walked my wobbly self out to the car with compassion and concern. A great experience all around!

This place is a case study in outstanding bed side manor. I have had two procedures at the Endoscopy Center and while each has gone smoothly, I am even more grateful for the wonderful team that takes care of you at every step. The pre-scope nurses are patient and empathetic; the procedure room team is calm and supportive; and the recovery area team ensure that you are comfortable as you wake, get your results, and get your ride. While I don’t love the procedures (most don’t), I’ll take that high level of experience and bed side manor any day.

I had to go in for two procedures one two weeks ago and one today. I was lucky to have the same staff the second time around. A special thanks to my team Dr. Lillo, Dr. Tavares, Mary, Jess, and Nikki. The entire staff there is amazing from the reception area to the end of your visit you will be treated respectfully, with care, dignity, and understanding. They are amazing 10/10.

Dr Castillo puts one at ease with before procedure begins... and after. He explains very clearly what what was done during colonoscopy..after procedure. Charming man with excellent “bedside manners”. His staff of nurses and anesthesiologist are all very pleasant and puts your mind at ease, as well, with their friendly caring demeanor. I recommend him highly👍. And this from a very anxious patient with these kind of procedures. The whole staff put me at ease.
