Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

ColonoscopyA flexible camera examines the full length of the colon to screen for cancer and remove polyps before they become cancerous. Done under sedation, it typically takes 30 to 60 minutes. The bowel prep the day before is the part most patients find hardest.Upper Endoscopy (EGD)A thin camera passed through the mouth examines the esophagus, stomach, and the first part of the small intestine. Used to investigate persistent heartburn, difficulty swallowing, unexplained bleeding, or abdominal pain. Usually takes 15 to 30 minutes under sedation.Flexible SigmoidoscopyExamines the lower portion of the colon only, rather than its full length. Preparation is lighter than a full colonoscopy and sedation is sometimes unnecessary, but it cannot detect problems higher in the colon.Capsule EndoscopyYou swallow a vitamin-sized camera that photographs the small intestine as it passes through — a region that standard scopes cannot easily reach. There is no sedation and no recovery. The capsule passes naturally, and images are reviewed after the fact.ERCPCombines endoscopy and X-ray imaging to diagnose and treat blockages in the bile and pancreatic ducts, most often gallstones stuck in a duct. Unlike a routine endoscopy, it carries a meaningful risk of pancreatitis afterward, so it is used when treatment is likely rather than for screening alone.Hemorrhoid TreatmentShrinks or removes swollen veins in the rectum and anus using rubber band ligation, injection, or surgical removal depending on severity. Banding is quick and typically requires no anesthesia; surgical removal is more effective for advanced cases but recovery is noticeably more uncomfortable.

Doctor's office was in a nice building. It is a shame because the front desk, who acts as the face of the establishment treated my grandparents horribly. They are hispanic, but speak english and felt very disrespected with their tone. They also do not keep their front desk clean, it was dirty/greasy. They made the overall experience of how great the actual medical staff overshadowed by the horrible front desk. For a center that claims that they care about their patients, their front desk staff is the absolute worse. I would not advise the facility to anyone who is elderly, not native english speaking- or generally anyone, until management reconsiders their front staff.

Terrible billing practices. Staff maybe nice but the billing is awful. They are very aggressive in getting paid upfront for the facility fee of a few hundred dollars which my insurance covered as I had already met my deductible. So they were double paid, and took me months to get my money back. Would not listen to me when I told them I was covered by my insurance.

Just an amazing experience overall. Super friendly staff from the receptionist when you just arrive to the last person who discharges you and that’s really the most important piece of any business. Everyone was so nice, helpful, caring and knowledgeable. They all put themselves in my shoes as a first timer and gave me the peace of mind. I couldn’t be any happier!! Thank you Doctor Waldstreicher and team!!

Both my wife & I have used this facility along with Dr. Kahgen. Clean facility and very gentle, caring staff. We have a very high confidence level in Dr. N Kahgen. Highly recommended. A year ago, one of the medical staff was not wearing a mask & took offense when asked politely to mask up. She challenged us with 'WHY?". I don't see the need to explain my medical vulnerabilities to stay safe in an invasive environment. Other this one experience we were very satisfied with the facility.

Wonderful facility with professional and kind staff. The women at the reception desk are extremely helpful and efficient. Patricia, the nurse who checked me in and prepared me for my procedure was great - I have had her before and she is always a pleasure. John, who was my anesthesiologist, administered the medication without my feeling any cold, stinging pain that usually accompanies the drug. The recovery nurse was very nice and assisted me until I was able to leave. I highly recommend this facility!
