I told them I was a hard stick on a hydrated day when arriving for a procedure you are required to abstain from eating or drinking for multiple days for. In spite of this I was stuck many times with different needles; some being very painful. My line then came out and I had to endure the procedure awake which I am still shook from. The icing on the cake was that the anesthesiologist told me that I should tell them at the beginning that I am a hard stick so that it doesn't happen again. I did (she was not yet in the room at the point) and it was not taken seriously and I'm still shaken up by it. I will not be returning and would advise you go somewhere else so that you don't also have this unpleasant memory.
My experience there with the nurses. Shauna Wagner was extraordinary. She knew her job very well. She interacted With me to make me feel comfortable and relaxed before my surgery. But, in recovery I had a nurse called Jasmine. I could tell she was one of the younger ones. She never spoke, except to say if you want your dress on stand up, I could tell she was one of the young ones because of her attitude. It was like she did not want to be at work. Even my husband, waiting for me, noticed, no smile on her face. I feel awful saying this, but this new generation has to learn to have a good attitude. The world owes them nothing. In this profession, she must have a smile on her face. And show that she loves her work and wants to be there. Like the extraordinary Shauna Wagner that checked me in.
I’m writing this as I’m waiting for my surgery but I have to come on here to let everybody know how amazing the staffs at this place is. Miss Rosa at front desk and miss Shauna my nurse are amazing human being. I was so nervous before the surgery but they put me at ease. I can relax now that I know I’m in good hand. The both of them are super sweet and professional. They need to get a raise seriously. Thank guys for making my day.
I had a Colonoscopy this past week. All the staff I came in contact were very professional and caring. The lady who checked me in at the reception desk took her time explaining all the forms that I needed to sign and asked me if I had any questions. My nurse Pam is one of the best nurses that I have encountered in a long time. She was very friendly and made me feel comfortable/safe/warm. She did a great job getting my IV in as I was dehydrated. The anesthesiologist then spoke with me to explain how I was going to be put to sleep. My doctor then spoke with me to double check on the procedure I was to have. The nurse and nurse anesthetist in the procedure room did a good job making me comfortable. My discharge nurse explained my discharge instructions & gave me written instructions. I highly recommend this surgery center as it is clean, all the staff are wonderful/professional. I only had to wait 10 minutes for my nurse to call me back to the pre-op room. They are very busy as they do several types of surgeries and procedures. I am so glad I decided to have my procedure done at Cape Coral Surgery Center. Last year I had a bad experience at a different outpatient surgery center in Cape Coral. Thank you to all the amazing staff.
The best team. I was treated with so much care and respect. The nurses made sure I understood every step of my procedure as I had never been in surgery before. Anesthesia team was amazing as well. It’s a very welcoming environment.
