They scheduled me for an endoscopy procedure. Once I was in the pre-op room the nurse barely could find my veins pocked me several times. I still have bruises on my arm. After they charged me for procedure and another different charge for Doctor fees; I waited for over 2 hours and then they started asking why was I there? Turn out to be refused to see me because of my BMI. I couldn't have the procedure done at that location that I needed to be scheduled to have the procedure at a hospital. I went through all the embarrassment of several people looking at me like if I was a creature from another world because, I am overweight. I asked a nurse to remove the needle from my vein so that I can change to my normal clothing and I went to the windows to request a refund for the money that I paid for services not provided this was on February 6th at the Fort Myers location. Still today, I don't have my money back and no one ever contacted me to apologize or to offer to schedule me at the hospital. Horrible experience. I want to clarify that I do not have any negative complaints about the check in ladies at front dedk or about PA doctor Washington, he was a fantastic doctor. I saw him only once and I have no bad review about him but, I do about the facility and the way that they handle the scenario is not about me complaining about me being overweight is the way that they handled the situation not following the HIPAA law or respecting me as a human being that has more body mass than others.I will never go back to that place and I truly hope that they give me my money back if not they will hear from my lawyer.
The only complaint I had was I had requested my daughter be present after the procedure when Dr Ensley came to talk to me. When I asked for her, I was told they would talk to my daughter. I found out in the car ride home that no one had talked to her. I don’t know how much I retained on my own after anesthesia. Everything else was top notch
Great Service from check in to check out. Dr Kessel was really nice. I already told my friends to go to her. Good service is hard to find these days but her office did it right. Thanks again for the great service!
Everyone there is so nice and courteous and make you feel very comfortable with every process. Dr. Kessel is just the best.. and I appreciate her bedside manner so much. Also grateful for the follow up phone calls from the office.
From start to finish, my experience with Gastro Health was excellent. Every member of the team was professional, caring, and organized. The entire process ran smoothly — from scheduling and preparation to the procedure itself and post-care communication. They were thorough and attentive, taking the time to explain each step clearly and to follow up afterward by phone, text, and email. At no point did I feel confused, rushed, or left on my own — their attention and coordination made a potentially stressful experience feel calm and reassuring. I truly appreciate the professionalism and compassion of everyone involved. Highly recommended.
