An update to the review I wrote previously on Dec 29, 2025 about our awful experience with my dad. They had to keep my dad a couple of hours extra due to his grogginess. And by the way - no doctor or PA came out to talk to us. The recovery/discharge nurse Sam was very nice but she had no information about how the surgery went except that he was okay. When they did finally call us to tell us we can pick him up - he was wheeled out to the car still half asleep. My dad was so out of it. He kept asking why he was rushed out and that he didn’t feel he was ready to go home. He said he couldn’t stand. And yet they transferred him into the wheelchair. They had to dress him - which he could not recall. We barely got him transferred into the car - his eyes were closed during the transfer. He slept the 45 min drive home with episodes of waking up and saying “why did they rush me out.” When we did get home we could not wake him up to get out of the car. Luckily I am a therapist myself and I knew how to try to walk him into the house. Thankfully I brought a gait belt with me so I could hold onto him. But I had to ask a strong neighbor to assist me. My dad lost his balance 3 times walking into the house and thankfully I and the neighbor were able to keep him on his feet with constant cueing to open his eyes because he was so out of it. We were also told there would be antibiotics ordered as part of his prescriptions that were sent to Walgreen. But there was no prescription for antibiotics. I left a message at Dr. Upadhyaya office around 5 PM inquiring about the medications and never got a return call (2 days later). And to top it off. We are now 2 days later and nobody from the surgical center or the doctors office called to check on his status. I’m in the medical field and have never heard of no follow up post surgery. I recommend staying away from this surgical center and practice.
My dad had cervical surgery today and it has been the worst experience for us. This facility has extremely poor communication. He was scheduled to be there by 7:30am Took him back at 8:30am. Had him wait till 11:00am to get wheeled in for the surgery. They did call us to let us know he went back 10 minutes before they called us. We were told the surgery would be about 90 min. At 1pm we had not heard anything while sitting in the waiting room. I asked the girl at the desk for an update at which time she called to the back and found out he was still in surgery. We were told when we first arrived that we would get an update when he is being wheeled in for surgery and when he is transition to recovery. At 1:30pm still no word, so I went to the desk again and was now told he was in recovery. I asked about the update and the girl at the desk stated I will not hear from them until he is ready to go home. Which is not the same information that was given upon our arrival. We did get a call finally from the recovery nurse around 1:50pm to say he would be ready to go home around 2:30-2:40pm. She had no information about the surgery other than that he is recovering okay. The doctor (Dr. Upadhyaya) had already left the facility He does not talk with the patient or the family members. So, we have no idea if there were any complications or why the surgery went an hour longer than expected. When we inquired how we get an update - we were told we need to leave a message at the doctors office. The only information we will receive is discharge information (which we have not received yet - but I’m sure it is going to be the bare minimum information. We will never return to this facility. If you or your family is one who likes to be informed, updated, and given the common courtesy regarding your loved one - DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY.
The facility is bright, cheerful and immaculate. I had a very positive experience!! The nurses are all knowledgeable, efficient and competent. Yet they are compassionate, kind, respectful and caring. I have the utmost respect and confidence in my surgeon Dr. Anthony Romano.
I had a truly wonderful and pleasant experience here. I was nervous as this was my first major surgery but the staff was incredibly kind, efficient, and caring. Everyone from the nurses to the surgeon was attentive and addressed my questions/concerns promptly. I felt very relaxed and comfortable for the surgery. Thank you to all the staff that made this a great experience and to the surgeon who has fixed my neck!
I had an incredible experience at Precision Bone and Joint. From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff made me feel welcomed and at ease—they were so patient, kind, and helpful. A huge shoutout to my nurse, Stephanie—she was absolutely amazing and made me feel cared for every step of the way. The entire team made my surgery experience super easy and completely carefree. I couldn’t have asked for better care.
