I had surgery here on January 28, 2025 and I really wish I hadn’t. 10 out of 10 would not recommend anyone doing any procedure in this facility. I’ll begin with the positive. The intake nurse Jennifer was nice. She calmed my nerves down a bit. Everything seemed normal. I had Surgery on my cervical spine, but waking up from anesthesia was the most horrendous awful experience I have ever endured in my entire life. First of all, they were like three or four nurses. I don’t know if someone was training, but when they yanked the breathing tube out of my throat, I felt it I remember hearing One of them talking about she’s pretty or something about pretty… completely irrelevant to what is going on and honestly unprofessional like I know she was trying to maybe be nice or say something nice but like that’s not the time nor the place to do it I’m sorry, and it’s not even like she was saying to me oh you’re so pretty no she was talking to the other nurses. The amount of pain I felt after the surgery is not normal. I don’t know if they woke me up too fast or if they didn’t give me Enough pain medication But my previous two surgeries that I had in another surgical center one on my wrist and the other one on my neck, I woke up from anesthesia feeling nothing. I was loopy. I was asking for New England clam chowder and anckee and salt fish (Bacalo). After this surgery, I felt everything I was trying to get out of the bed. Having a disc replaced in my neck and my esophagus literally moved over these nurses decided that instead of giving me medication through the IV it would be a good idea to give me two pills to swallow while I am crying and moaning in pain. I’m writing this a week and two days later and my throat is still hurting so bad to swallow. I couldn’t talk for several days after the surgery. There was definitely something wrong with the way whoever took out my breathing tube. I’ve had surgery twice before at another center after being hit by a drunk driver and did not experience that type of pain for that many days Like that at all . The entire experience was horrible. Anesthesiologist assistant, Ryan walked by and asked me how I was doing and I told him I feel like I’m dying. He said to me, I’ll be back with something and never came back with anything. Stood with his back, turned to me at the nurses station. Then the Russian nurse that they had looking over me, kept checking her watch. I feel like she rushed me out Because she wanted to go home for the day. She gave me my clothes and was like “here get dressed.” I just had a major surgery on my cervical spine. I can’t even move. I’m in the most pain that I’ve ever felt before in my life and this lady Is like “here get dressed”. When I was struggling to put on my shirt, she did assist me for three seconds to get the shirt over my head. I wouldn’t bring my worst enemy here to have any type of surgical procedure done whatsoever they under medicated me. The nurses… The wake up crew was unprofessional.. It literally felt like you’re in like a meatpacking factory. Jennifer had already gone for the day, she was not a part of the wake up crew. She was good everybody else there sucks. Well, I think Christine, who answers the phone or Christina maybe her name is she’s good too. I dealt with her over the phone but like the experience I had waking up from that surgery I, I’m in disbelief honestly. I am a very easy-going jovial person. If I am writing this review it’s because it seriously needed to be written and if someone else sees this, it’ll make them think twice before having to possibly Endure the same experience.

This center was special, from the front desk staff to the pain nurses and the anesthesia staff, all super friendly. Dr. Grau was not to mention professional. He was sincere, gave clear explanations, Tim was nice and special, thank you for the surgery. It was a total knee replacement, knee joint revision/replacement, knee repair, revision and/or reconstruction, elbow injection, PRP injection in the elbow, but so far everything is fine, and I have had constant calls from Dr. Maria Salado, very professional and attentive. If I had to recommend this place to someone, I would tell them to go with my eyes closed for the attention and for the professionals they are. Thank you very much Dr. Grau and your team, I am very grateful (although for the pain after surgery you have to prepare yourself psychologically), my greatest thanks to the entire team for their attention (Grueiro

First of all it’s not even called miVIP any more, it’s called Surgipoint, they still go by Hollywood Regional. This place has horrendous management. Took my family friend for a procedure there and the procedure was delayed several hours…is there anyone in charge? Where’s the manager or administrators? When I picked up my friend, they mentioned that another surgeon caused the delay for my friend’s procedure? If you can’t handle the case load, then why allow so many to begin with? I can’t imagine anyone working here is proud of this sweat shop. Absolutely unacceptable. I hope my friend or I don’t ever have to experience this place again. And if the person reading this is part of management or administration, you’ve got some serious work to do with this place, do some soul searching or get rid of whom ever is allowing for these poor decisions. The ball was dropped big time.

I had my sleeve here 09/25. and the staff was amazing. I was so anxious and scared of having surgery but everyone was so nice and welcoming all the fear went away. I felt at home. my nurse who take care of me after surgery was amazing, the people who put in my iv were amazing. I can honestly say in todays climate being African American I didn't feel like I was being tolerated like previous experiences. I would definitely recommend this place for any outpatient surgery.
