My mother’s appointment was scheduled for 8:00 AM, yet we ended up waiting in the lobby for almost 4 hours. During this time, the front desk staff member, Feldina, was very rude and did not communicate clearly. I was expecting my mother to have both an endoscopy and a colonoscopy, but Feldina told me only a colonoscopy was authorized, which was confusing. I called my mother’s doctor’s office, and they confirmed they had faxed the authorization for both procedures at 9 AM. When I went back to inform the front desk, Feldina simply said “OK, we received it,” without any apology or explanation. She was cold, unhelpful, and showed no concern for the fact that my mother had been fasting for so long and was becoming cold and hungry. This lack of communication and compassion made the situation extremely frustrating. My mother was finally taken back around 12 PM—nearly four hours after we arrived. This is unacceptable for a patient who has been fasting and waiting since early morning.

The procedure nurse Geraldine was amazing. She was so kind and thoughtful and put me at ease for my endoscopy. Also the anesthesia team Dr Martinez and Rafael were great. My recovery discharge nurse Leandro was wonderful too. Everyone was so kind and friendly. And of course a big shout out to Dr. Pakravan who performed my endoscopy. Thank you all 😊

As a parent, a nurse, and an HCA employee, I can definitely say that we had a fabulous experience at Palms West Surgicenter. The preop nurse who called me the day before my daughter’s tonsillectomy left me in tears with her kindness and empathy, and her gdly words . The nurse who did our admission was so wonderful and patient and kind. The CRNA, the young girl that starts with an M, exuded confidence and made me feel 100% reassured that my daughter was in the best hands. Our post op nurse Angela was gentle and kind, patient and overall wonderful. I have nothing negative to say about our experience last week. Highly recommend this center

My son is here for and endoscopy and the crew was warned my son has fear of needles. We had stressed for weeks that he was to be given a sedative or something before the IV. They have taken him back when he made a clear verbal request for me to be with him. This is unacceptable and further causing PTSD to my child. Not to mention the nurse was rude and told me they couldn’t do anything for him and I was to wait in the waiting room. After months of anxiety leading up to this and this is how they treat him? Needless to say they score 0 for this parent. Next time I’ll see what other facility his doctor works from.

We had a wonderful experience from checkin to checkout with the entire staff including all drs and nurses. Checkin with Laurie was quick, thorough and painless. All of the staff worked together very efficiently with a caring smile even at 6 am. Doors open at 6 am so don’t get there too early. I do want to make a special mention to Vicky M. She was absolutely amazing in all aspects of her job. She made the room feel like a five star hotel with full service. She efficiently met our every need and made the experience wonderful. It could be because she works for the greatest group of drs but the nurses are the ones there for you before and after procedures and she showed us that there are awesome nurses in this world. 🌎 I am so happy she touched our life even for just a few hours but I will never forget the care she gave us. Enter these doors with the greatest peace of mind.
