Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Cataract SurgeryThe clouded natural lens of the eye is removed and replaced with a clear artificial one. It is one of the most common outpatient procedures performed in the country, usually takes under 30 minutes per eye, and is done under light sedation with numbing drops rather than general anesthesia.LASIK / Refractive SurgeryA laser reshapes the cornea to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism, reducing dependence on glasses or contacts. The procedure itself takes minutes per eye. Vision is often noticeably better within a day, though it can take several weeks to fully stabilize.Glaucoma SurgeryCreates a new drainage path for fluid inside the eye to lower internal pressure. Glaucoma damages the optic nerve silently, so the goal is preventing further vision loss rather than restoring vision already lost. Several minimally invasive options are now performed in outpatient settings.Retinal SurgeryRepairs the light-sensitive tissue at the back of the eye, most often for a detached or torn retina, or for bleeding related to diabetes. Timing matters — a detaching retina is treated urgently because delay increases the risk of permanent vision loss.Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)Removes excess skin and fat from the upper or lower eyelids. When drooping upper lids block part of the visual field, the procedure is functional rather than cosmetic and is often covered by insurance if visual field testing documents the obstruction.Corneal TransplantReplaces damaged or clouded corneal tissue with donor tissue. Modern techniques often replace only the affected layer rather than the full thickness, which shortens recovery. Vision improves gradually over months, and stitches may stay in place for a year or longer.

Staff were helpful and told me everything leading up to the medical procedures. It took very long to actually get the procedure done. I am happy with the results.

Had a pretty good experience thankfully compared to the reviews I saw. Staff were nice and kept us moving that it was minimal wait with the morning appointment given. The AC seemed almost non existent though in the lobby and bathrooms with no place to hang a purse. Also they use call centers it seems that you can almost never get an answer or call return so go in person if able for questions prior to surgery.

They wanted me to pay my bill without submitting it to my insurance. Kept insisting that the claim was denied although there was no claim ever listed in my account and I had never received any notice of a claim being denied from my insurance company. Kept sending me a bill for some 9 months with me always refusing to pay. Finally took the bill to my doctor who had done the surgery and she made a call which resulted in their finally submitting the claim. However they doubled the amount of my bill on the claim. These people are fraudulent as well as liars. Don’t go there.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. They will make you wait over 1-2 hours after your appointment time and the misinformation is crazy!! You will have different people telling you different things as well. Someone will tell you your surgery time is only 20 mins another will tell you it’s 1 hour and 30 mins. The patient experience at this place is disgusting and I 100% do NOT recommend this place!!

I arrived with my mom at 6:30 a.m. for her scheduled surgery at 7a.m. the waiting room was just about full with very little seating. The fill in for the front desk was nurse Cindy she was very nice. But the person that replaced her was not so nice. When i asked her how much longer when we had an appointment at 7:00 she replied that is the time we give patients to be here but they have no scheduled time of surgery. This is unacceptable! But as the time passed 7:30, 8:00, 9:00 and now still sitting here with my mom at 9:41a.m. still waiting, she had been so anxious and I am late for work. This is absolutely ridiculous. And I seen a review 11 months ago with the same issue, it has not changed. The doctor however was great.
