VERY UNHAPPY with Millenia Surgery center for my GI procedure...- no surgical sign seen on outside of Millenia building- doors locked on 7am arrival with no sign to wait for doorman to unlock door so we were walking around the building in the rain looking for another entrance- very limited parking in front so parked on side of building and there is no sidewalk to building so walking unsafely against traffic in the dark.- waiting room waay too small with coughing clients and no chairs for waiting family to sit outside the waiting room. No water fountain seen for family. Will NEVER use this surgical center again. Surgical center told me clear fluids starting at 3p...my paperwork from GI office visit stated 4p. Whose wires are crossed in communication? Also, was a mess up on medical history I filled out on line but they had no record of. (Surgical staff was efficient and pleasant but I do not know if they are hired by Millenia.) Billing was a mess (again, is this from Millenia surgical hire or my GI docs?)
I've been attended here for approximately 16 years. The people, process, and product are very good. It is a clean, friendly and professional facility. Ive never had any difficulty here. They had security guards/ doorman greeting me and directing me to the correct suite this time. I think that is really good.
Every single staff member was extremely sweet from the receptionist to my nurses and my doctor. I had a procedure done with Dr. Soto Ramos and he’s literally the nicest doctor I’ve ever interacted with. The team made me feel comforted and safe in their hands. It was also very quick, in and out in under an hour and half. As someone who has undergone over 10 colonoscopies, this was by far the best experience I’ve had.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS for a colonoscopy!Would give this place 0 stars if I could. Had a 9:15AM appointment and STILL waiting 2 hours later. Someone in the waiting room described it as torture. Imagine… 20 people crammed into a freezing cold room who haven’t had anything solid to eat in over 24 hours and who are thirsty and hungry to no ends because of the fasting and no liquids on the day of surgery. Oh and then we have the whole struggle of going to be restroom or missing our name being called It’s MISERABLE. AVOID AVOID AVOID THIS PLACE. Seems like they overbook, only have 2 doctors/surgeons on staff, and don’t care that they’re waisting everyone’s time and SANITY
As far as I'm concerned, my experience wasn't bad at all. I got there at 7:30. My procedure was at 8. Got back there at 9. Understandable that there was the usual wait and delay. It wasn't as long as some people were saying. But I know people have different experiences. I know some people are complaining about the payment being needed the day of surgery, but it clearly states in the paperwork it's needed. People should be prepared for that. Once I got to pre-op, everything ran smoothly. I got in and out before noon. So I was happy about that. If you can tolerate some waiting after your assigned appointment, it's not that bad. Like any other medical establishment, they want you early for your appointment, but will run late with sticking to that appointment. Nothing new.
