This place is very clean. The Staff all the staff, are very nice and caring. I would give it more then 5 stars. Big shot out to Maureen, you are so caring. Everyone is but she really goes above and beyond.
I had a rt knee Arthroscopy done at your facility by Dr Gary Wexler. My experience was above 5🌟and as a retired nurse with over 50 years experience, I am probably more objective than most. The front office staff’s greeting was professional and very friendly. I cannot say enough about the excellent care I received from your nurses Haley and Scott. Anesthesia and the OR were outstanding. When asked if I needed a slight sedative to relieve any anxiety before the procedure my answer was no. The reason for this was because the staff had built up my confidence that I was in excellent hands. This is my second trip to your facility and you have a lot to be proud of. Thank you.
First I would like to start out saying that the staff as far as the medical team was phenomenal for my 2 surgeries, shoulder and back that I've had at the facilities. I could not ask for better care. #2 the accounting department on the on the other hand is something to desire. I paid all my out of pay, procedures, not covered by insurance and completely met my deductible with my insurance. After surgery, I seem to get a bill for $1300.What should have been resubmitted to the insurance company. I went ahead and paid it on my own recognize to settle the dept. Just so they could send me another bill for $250.00. dollars a month later, I had my account go through it and he said someone re ran everything and came up with a new amount again. On top of speaking to a very rude accountant I told them to resubmit it to the insurance company that I had already met everything a 100% and the fact that my accountant had seen this was refigured. And came up with a new amount that I was questioning. They have done nothing but blow up my phone with calls.Texts and letters weekly, over $250.00 that I'm questioning for $79,000.00 surgery, I truly feel like I'm being strong-armed and nickled and dimed. And I can't say that I would probably use this facilities because there are accounting problems again.
The one star is due to billing issues, as others have written about. They charged me the deductible rate that hospitals charge instead of the correct rate for an "Ambulatory Surgical Facility" which is in fact what they are. I discovered this on my Medicare claims statement when I double checked the plan benefits against the charges. This was an inexcusable mistake since there are no circumstances under which hospital rates should be used. When I notified them within a few days, they refused to give me a refund and are still holding the funds over 2 months later. After my 6th call to billing, they admitted fault but said the refund required 3 levels of approval and I was only at level 2. Clearly they're hoping I will give up like most people probably do. I have disputed this with my credit card company in the meantime. The sad thing is that the nurses there were wonderful, but I would never go back.
While we have several concerns with this surgical center, the purpose of this review is to share our payment experience. My husband had surgery in mid Aug 2023. They called a few days in advance to let us know that we would need to pay on the day of the surgery. We were led to be that this was our total cost excluding the anesthesiologist which would be invoiced separately. Our doctor had the same process so it seemed routine. Post surgery, after processing the claims with our insurance (80/20 split), we owed the doctor $0 but the surgical center sent us an invoice for three times the original stated amount! When I called, the woman explained that the amount collected pre-surgery is "simply" an estimate. I asked to see the pre-surgery estimate and the post-surgery final costs and was told that was not possible. I am sure that they use the same medical software as the doctor but they must be horribly bad at it. Feel sorry for the patients that were being called and told that their upfront cost was $6,000 when in reality, if they have our experience, they could receive another invoice showing their total cost was $18,000. The other invoicing issue is the harassment. Within days of surgery, they started sending both emails and text messages regarding how to pay the amount owed. Given that this was an unexpected expense, it took a two paychecks to have the money to pay them and the payment was submitted online less than 30 days from the date of the surgery. Today, we received another round of harassing emails and texts even though the payment cleared our checking account several days ago. Will NEVER use this surgical center again and have share this experience with our doctor so hopefully he reconsiders his affiliation with this company.
