Don't get a procedure done here. I had an endoscopy a year and a half ago. I paid in full before the procedure. I am still receiving additional bills from them. Go to a different place that does honest billing!
I had an endoscopy in 2023 and paid my $800 deductible before the procedure. A few months later, I began receiving additional bills for around $500, which I couldn’t afford at the time. Eventually, my account was sent to collections, and I was dismissed as a patient. Then, in 2025, I received a check for $218.81 saying I had been overcharged. It was frustrating and disheartening to realize there had been a mistake all along. I have celiac disease and have struggled with ongoing digestive issues, so losing access to care has been really hard. I truly liked Dr. Byju — such a kind and caring doctor — but the billing system made everything so stressful.
These are my opinions, obviously. Would not return to this facility for any procedures. Receptionist was great, intake nurse was fine. The rest of the folks - truly acted like they didn't want to be there. And the anesthesiologist was pretty arrogant. They're usually fun and comforting. Not this guy. Just wasn't a fan of the whole experience. Many other much nicer, friendlier, more comfortable, newer surgical centers to choose from.
Got to a full waiting room at 1:45 seeing someone sitting on the floor and 2 people standing in a corner between the bathrooms. The intake person/receptionist was really bad; she obviously was having trouble finding me in the system but someone else had to tell me that the doctor's office had not set up my appointment or sent the paperwork. The receptionist never told me that I could still be seen until I asked her. Meanwhile, I had just gone through the colonoscopy prep, having not eaten since 1:30 the day before and not having anything to drink since 10 AM. other than the prep fluid that was quickly eliminated. I finally dragged it out of her that they would "work me in". Everyone who was there when I got there and everyone who kept coming in after was long gone. Several of the other patients I spoke with over the hours I sat waiting were upset over the long waits they had past their appointment times. One thing that I thought was awful was they had the patients' family members meet the patients at a side door to drive them home. Why were they not there when the patient woke up and not there for any results; was anyone told about the results? It was around 5 PM and I had to ask her, that since no one was there, was I going to be called in (they closed at 6 PM)? She was her usual uncaring, non-communicative, pissy self. I never got out of there until after 6 PM. Erica was very nice and excellent at getting the IV into my dehydrated body, and the manager, anesthesialogist, and staff were also good. The manager had been to see my husband who the receptionist had given a hard time and upset him tremendously by not allowing him to talk to anyone about concerns of mine and his, and yelled at him because he wanted to go in with me. The manager came and kindly spoke with me to let me know that she had taken care of his concerns. Once I was ready to leave, Dr. Byju met with my husband and me to explain the results were good. He was nice and took his time explaining everything.
I had a colonoscopy done yesterday and would highly recommend them. All the nurses and anesthesiologists were very professional and did a great job listening and tending to my needs. Got warm socks and blanket before going into surgery 😀 Surgery room looked very clean and modern, and having all the doctors and nurses in there made me feel comfortable and in good hands. They even called me the next day to see how I was feeling after the procedure (who does that?).
