Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Knee ArthroscopyA camera and small instruments are inserted through incisions the size of a buttonhole to repair cartilage, trim a torn meniscus, or remove loose fragments. Because the joint is not opened fully, recovery is far faster than traditional open knee surgery.Shoulder ArthroscopyUses a small camera and instruments through tiny incisions to repair the shoulder joint — commonly for impingement, labral tears, or damaged cartilage. Most patients go home the same day and begin physical therapy within the first week.ACL ReconstructionRebuilds the torn anterior cruciate ligament using a graft, since a fully torn ACL does not heal on its own. The surgery itself is outpatient, but returning to cutting and pivoting sports typically takes nine to twelve months of structured rehabilitation.Rotator Cuff RepairReattaches torn tendons in the shoulder to the bone. Pain relief often comes well before strength does — a sling is typical for several weeks and full recovery commonly takes four to six months, with physical therapy doing much of the work.Carpal Tunnel ReleaseCuts the ligament pressing on the median nerve at the wrist to relieve numbness, tingling, and night pain in the hand. The procedure takes about 15 minutes under local anesthesia. Night symptoms often improve immediately; grip strength returns over several weeks.Joint ReplacementDamaged joint surfaces are replaced with implants, most commonly at the knee or hip. Once exclusively a hospital procedure, selected healthy patients now have this done at surgery centers and go home the same day with a structured recovery plan.

Initial Impression on first visit; Facility is first class, orderly check in, attentive admission staff, and wait time minimal after check in. When called, support staff took care of preliminary procedures rapidly, moving me through a series of necessary testing. Every stage was completed very professionally, with great skill and personal attention to any questions or concerns. The attending physician who would be doing the operation stopped in to introduce himself and asked if my questions and concerns were explained and answered completely. My time was respected and did not feel like a product or prospect rushed through. Specific Hat Tip to Emily and Katie two amazing people with great respect , care, and compassion. Any apprehension was allayed by them quickly. Excellent Organization!

I was extremely impressed with all aspects of my preop visit to Center For Sight. All of the technicians were friendly, efficient and showed obvious expertise. Dr. Shoemaker was wonderful and, in an unhurried manner, explained all options for cataract surgery very thoroughly. Overall, this is the most impressive physician’s office I have ever encountered.

I was very happy with my first time visit. The front desk people were very happy and my wait time was not bad at all. The dr.assistant was very nice and thorough and I feel did a good job. The doctor was very good as well and I was very happy with my visit. He checked me for astigmatism, macular degeneration, did a contact lens evaluation and also a glasses evaluation. I went home with new contacts on and was quite happy. I would not have a problem, recommending this office at all

Nice comfortable main waiting area. Check in was smooth, however without any pleasant personality. Wait time was reasonable. Exams were very complete and thorough. Dr Shaub was excellent! Check out desk was fast and very organized. Guest WIFI is available but lacks the bandwidth or capability to handle the volume of people in the office. I was not able to even connect. Bring a book or a hotspot.
