Not happy to say it, but I’ve been to a lot of surgery centers over my 50 years. Out of all the outpatient surgery centers I’ve experienced, this one is by far my favorite. Typically, the thing with outpatient centers is that you get herded in and herded out very quickly. This place was absolutely nothing like that. The center is partly owned by Yunis, the doctor who performed my hernia repair today, and the difference in care truly shows. Everyone was so kind. At check-in, I ended up having the funniest, most unexpected conversation with the check-in nurse—we talked about marriage, long-term love, and even joked about our husbands like two old girlfriends in a grocery line. It was just so kind and so human. I wish I could remember her name 😔. My post op nurse, was Lisa, & she was absolutely incredible as well. When I woke up from surgery, I had a bit of nausea. They kept medicating me and making sure I was completely comfortable. I never felt rushed at all. I arrived at 6 a.m. and didn’t leave until after 12 noon. I took at least a two-hour nap after surgery without anyone pressuring me to hurry up. Even when I got up to use the bathroom and came back, my nurse asked if I felt ready to leave—but made it clear that if I wanted more time, that was perfectly fine. They did everything possible to keep me warm and relaxed, from heated blankets to the warm air hose attached to the swaddle blanket. It was genuinely comforting. Honestly, I can’t say enough good things about this place. This is probably the first time I’ve ever felt moved to leave a review for an outpatient surgery center. Kudos to Sarasota Physicians Surgical Center. Kudos to Dr. Jonathan Yunis for a job well done, both in surgery and for being part of such an amazing outpatient center. Shot out to my check in Nurse on November 19th 6am & shot out to my amazing post op Nurse. LISA!!!!!!!! Thank you for treating me like a human.

I just wanted to share that I had a truly wonderful experience from start to finish. From the moment I walked in, I was taken care of right away. The nurses were incredibly kind and helpful. The anesthesiologist made me feel completely at ease, and Dr. Abrams did a fantastic job with my surgery. Even the nurse who walked me to my car was warm and caring. I couldn't have asked for better care. Thank you all so much!

I had my tonsillectomy here last week and I was impressed. Everyone from the front desk staff to the nurses and anesthesiologist were extremely personable, funny and professional. I felt very comfortable. Best surgery center I’ve used so far.

I had hernia surgery here. I was very nervous and the entire staff did their best to make me feel comfortable. The receptionist, the nurses who prepped me for surgery, the anesthesiologist, along with the surgeon and his staff, as well as the post op nurse, were all very nice and professional. This surgical center is a great place and I'm glad I had my procedure done here.

I had a medical procedure and I was very impressed with this facility. From check in to check out the staff was wonderful! My nurse, Allison, has a difficult time with my IV and was so apologetic and caring. I didn’t have any pain and I didn’t have any bruising the next day. My husband was allowed to sit with me before I went in. It was so nice to have him with me. The patient was always their first priority! If I need another procedure I will know that the staff is caring and will make me feel relaxed. I highly recommend this surgical center!!
