Well here I sit with my 80yo mother in law doing her prep for her colonoscopy tomorrow morning and we never received a call today to let us know when to arrive. Itās a Sunday but we were told we would get a call and no callā¦. This is infuriating! Not only is it stressful in itself helping an elderly person with a prep but to have this totally avoidable added stress is 100% unacceptable! We have gone to this center many times before. My husband and I have not had issues so this is very upsetting and unexpected that this is happening to my family now. The āchangesā being made with Florida medical now Orlando health have been far from desirable. Smh
Tried for nearly 2 hours to get someone on the phone to schedule an appt and no one ever picked up the phone. First time I called I was in the queue for nearly 55 minutes when it was my turn, it hung up. Called back and waited another 40 minutes before giving up and just scheduling an appt somewhere else. Very poor management, clearly.
We were very disappointed with our recent experience. An appointment that was scheduled two months ago for my grandmother was abruptly canceled without any prior phone call. According to staff, a letter was supposedly mailed, which we never received. We had been anticipating this visit for weeks, especially since the office is a 40-minute drive away and I had taken time off work to ensure she could attend. When we asked about rescheduling, not only were we told that she could no longer see the doctor she was originally scheduled with, but the only option offered was to see a mid-level provider instead. My grandmother feels more comfortable seeing the doctor, and it was disheartening that no effort was made to accommodate that request. What made this even more frustrating was that the office did not apologize or show any genuine concern for the inconvenience. It felt as though there was little regard for our time or circumstances. This experience has made us question the professionalism and care of this practice. Please keep this in mind if you decide to use this practice for you or your loved ones care.
When Iād called to schedule an appointment w/Dr. Kirkpatrick, I was told that Jenny (Nurse Practitioner) would be able to help me so Iād decided to go to the appointment. I really wanted to see Dr. Kirkpatrick, but I was informed that she was booked up until June. During my visit, Jenny wasnāt trying to find a solution for my kidney stones/pain. When I told her that I would like to have surgery, sheād told me that nothing can be done and that the stones will just keep forming. Furthermore, after Iād stated that I hate kidney stones, sheād stated that she āloves kidney stones and likes to play with themā š³ and that she knows sheās kinda weird. Whaaat? To sum it all up, sheād handed me a piece of paper that was a diet plan and sent me on my way. Iām in pain, and she didnāt mention āLithotripsyā or nothing. Thatās crazy. I never want to go to this place again. Google and You Tube gave me more info. than Jenny. Iām just going to apologize, because I shouldnāt have never even bothered calling nor showing up. This appointment was a complete disgrace. However, I trust that God will still direct me to receive the help that I need.
What an absolute joke of a medical facility. I requested to see a female doctor for a colonoscopy because it would have been my first procedure like this, I have never been under anesthesia, and I have anxiety. The woman on the phone was very rude and said if my request is accepted someone will reach out to me. I waited a week and didnāt hear anything so I decided to follow up. The receptionist took my name and DOB and put me on hold. She then came back and snapped āyour request was deniedā to which I responded āwhy?ā. She didnāt give a reason so I asked to cancel my appointment since Iāll have to go somewhere else. She said the appointment was already canceled. So these unprofessionals lied to me, failed to communicate that they cannot meet my simple request, and canceled my appointment. Donāt waist your time on this mediocre āhealthcareā facility and the sad people who work here.
