Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Knee ArthroscopyA camera and small instruments are inserted through incisions the size of a buttonhole to repair cartilage, trim a torn meniscus, or remove loose fragments. Because the joint is not opened fully, recovery is far faster than traditional open knee surgery.Shoulder ArthroscopyUses a small camera and instruments through tiny incisions to repair the shoulder joint — commonly for impingement, labral tears, or damaged cartilage. Most patients go home the same day and begin physical therapy within the first week.ACL ReconstructionRebuilds the torn anterior cruciate ligament using a graft, since a fully torn ACL does not heal on its own. The surgery itself is outpatient, but returning to cutting and pivoting sports typically takes nine to twelve months of structured rehabilitation.Rotator Cuff RepairReattaches torn tendons in the shoulder to the bone. Pain relief often comes well before strength does — a sling is typical for several weeks and full recovery commonly takes four to six months, with physical therapy doing much of the work.Carpal Tunnel ReleaseCuts the ligament pressing on the median nerve at the wrist to relieve numbness, tingling, and night pain in the hand. The procedure takes about 15 minutes under local anesthesia. Night symptoms often improve immediately; grip strength returns over several weeks.Joint ReplacementDamaged joint surfaces are replaced with implants, most commonly at the knee or hip. Once exclusively a hospital procedure, selected healthy patients now have this done at surgery centers and go home the same day with a structured recovery plan.
Epidural Steroid InjectionsSteroid medication is injected near irritated spinal nerve roots to calm inflammation causing sciatica or arm pain. Often used to make physical therapy tolerable rather than as a standalone cure. There are limits on how frequently they can be repeated.Nerve Block InjectionsAnesthetic, sometimes with steroid, is injected around a specific nerve to interrupt pain signals. Used both to treat pain and to identify its source, since relief from a precisely placed block points to the nerve responsible.Radiofrequency AblationHeat generated by radio waves disables the small nerves carrying pain signals from an arthritic spinal joint. Relief commonly lasts six months to two years. Because the nerves regenerate over time, the procedure can be repeated.Spinal Cord StimulationA device delivers mild electrical pulses to the spinal cord to interrupt chronic pain signals before they reach the brain. A temporary trial period is done first, so you can judge the benefit before committing to a permanent implant.Joint InjectionsSteroid or lubricating medication is injected directly into an arthritic or inflamed joint. Image guidance is often used to confirm placement. Relief typically lasts weeks to months and can make physical therapy more productive.Trigger Point InjectionsA local anesthetic is injected into a taut, tender knot of muscle to break the spasm-and-pain cycle. The appointment takes minutes and you can usually return to normal activity the same day.

I'm 4 days post- surgery, performed by Dr. Siddiqui, and can't say enough positive things about the staff's reassurance and top- notch treatment I was given. From the front-desk assistant to the recovery nurse who wheeled me to my vehicle, my experience is nothing but compliments.

The surgery center signage is missing, so please do understand you're going to the old circuit city building which is still has signs up for a gym. As it does have a gym still in the building, the surgery senator itself is off to the back right corner and you need to follow the arrows on the floor if nothing else. The staff is helpful and informati, as is expected Chris, a female st the desk was super helpful and put us at ease as we arrived and Laurie was super helpful right after the surgery to afford me the derails and knownall is well, much appreciated!

I drove an hour to Legacy and found out my surgery was rescheduled. Then I drove back to Legacy on the rescheduled appointment day and they said I should have gotten email that it was canceled again.( Don't come to this place!!! ). They are extremely disorganized in my opinion. Good luck to you if you use this place for surgery.

I had surgery with Dr Peter Mikhail and his staff of Legacy Surgery Center. I want to say thank you to all staff, my pre op nurse Ms Santiago was amazing, she explained everything in detail, helped me by translating to spanish everything to my husband while I was sedated. The anesthesiologist and nurses from the operating room treated me so nice, kept me safe during my procedure, they made me feel very secure and comfy. After I was done my post op team from pacu took amazing care of me, they managed my pain and held my hand thru it all. I want to say from the bottom of my heart thank you, keep up the good work. I will recommend Legacy Surgery Center 100%.

The staff was so sweet and patient with me. I usually feel like staff rushes me out after my procedures are done, but no one made me feel like that here. Only 4 stars because one of the nurses blew the IV while inserting it and had to get another nurse to try again, but if that's the worst thing to happen, that's great!
