We loved everyone here so much! Every single person we encountered, from the front desk to the nurses to the doctors, was unbelievably nice. I appreciate your kindness. Both of our children had their tonsils out today, and they were phenomenal.
You can do better than this place. I say that as someone who has had a number of surgeries over the past few years, unfortunately. I was rushed out of recovery and gaslit that my pain and nausea would get better once I got up and moving and once I got home. It got way worse. I rated my pain as a 7 and the nurse told me to get up and get dressed. That was the most horrible post anesthesia experience I've ever had - 12 hours of intense nausea and vomiting. Vomiting after sinus surgery is not ideal. The receptionist was great. Natasha, my pre op nurse was fantastic. My surgeon is very good and kind. The anesthesia team was friendly and kind but when I told them about my tendency to get sick after they simply said, "no promises but we will try our best." At other facilities the anesthesia team has explained to me in detail exactly what they plan to do and how they anticipate managing my symptoms. I also had quite a long wait before my surgery. I wouldn't have minded that wait as much had I not been kicked out so quick after surgery. When I was called the day after and mentioned some of these issues the person on the phone filled in the blanks for me, before I could answer, which kind of lets me know this is not unexpected.
I was there yesterday for a tonsillectomy I was pretty scared and I can't remember the two nurses that hooked me up but they both was amazing and the lady anesthesiologist that was working with Baylor calmed me down so much I thank you guys so much cus I was truly scared you guys all r amazing
So I had revision surgery after breast cancer reconstruction at this place. Prior to surgery the nurses were amazing. Very sweet and took good care of me. After surgery was a bit different. I was rushed out of recovery. The nurse kept telling me “open your eyes open your eyes” and I was nauseous from the anesthesia and she gave me a sick bag. But she still got me dressed and was getting me ready to go. Normally you have to atleast urinate to prove things are ok but I didn’t even do that. From what my caregiver said I was only in recovery like 30 mins. I know I was still nodding off. Thankfully everything was ok but I don’t quite understand why the rush. I think I still would use them because I trust my doctor but this made me nervous.
The staff at the surgical center was great! The woman working the front desk when we arrived at 530am was very pleasant! She tried to help us as best she could. I will say the billing process is not the greatest, they make you pay up front, and then worry about insurance on the back end. The nursing staff were all AMAZING! We were lucky enough to have Katherine who was both knowledgeable and very sweet. Everyone we encountered from start to finish was fabulous. I’m sure they deal with a lot of silly patients coming off of anesthesia, but they humored my husband who was convinced he now looked like a Kardashian
