Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Knee ArthroscopyA camera and small instruments are inserted through incisions the size of a buttonhole to repair cartilage, trim a torn meniscus, or remove loose fragments. Because the joint is not opened fully, recovery is far faster than traditional open knee surgery.Shoulder ArthroscopyUses a small camera and instruments through tiny incisions to repair the shoulder joint — commonly for impingement, labral tears, or damaged cartilage. Most patients go home the same day and begin physical therapy within the first week.ACL ReconstructionRebuilds the torn anterior cruciate ligament using a graft, since a fully torn ACL does not heal on its own. The surgery itself is outpatient, but returning to cutting and pivoting sports typically takes nine to twelve months of structured rehabilitation.Rotator Cuff RepairReattaches torn tendons in the shoulder to the bone. Pain relief often comes well before strength does — a sling is typical for several weeks and full recovery commonly takes four to six months, with physical therapy doing much of the work.Carpal Tunnel ReleaseCuts the ligament pressing on the median nerve at the wrist to relieve numbness, tingling, and night pain in the hand. The procedure takes about 15 minutes under local anesthesia. Night symptoms often improve immediately; grip strength returns over several weeks.Joint ReplacementDamaged joint surfaces are replaced with implants, most commonly at the knee or hip. Once exclusively a hospital procedure, selected healthy patients now have this done at surgery centers and go home the same day with a structured recovery plan.

I've had successful surgery here twice and cannot emphasize how great the experience was. The nurses are efficient, skilled, and so kind. I would send any of my friends or family members here, knowing they will receive excellent care.

Really disappointed at this time with the accounts department. I had a minor Thumb Surgery in Oct 2023 and they charged me an upfront amount just before the surgery. The claim was approved by Insurance company some where in Dec 2023 and the surgical center owe me back almost 90% of the upfront cost they charged me. It's been more than 3 months now and they still are working on getting the refund back. Every time I call them they have the standard answer "It's sent for an approval to corporate office". Don’t know what kind of approval takes 3 to 4 months. I am still waiting to get my money back and not sure how long is it going to take them to send the money back 🤔

I went today to have a spinal injection at the L3/L4 area for relief from sciatica. My hope is that it will alleviate the pain I’ve been having for several months. While I hope you never have to go here - if you do you’ll enjoy the experience. Everyone was very personable and professional so I felt well taken care of the whole time. From the person who checked me in to the doctor who did the procedure - they all did everything they possibly could to keep me informed and comfortable throughout. The doctor came in and asked some more specific questions about my symptoms so she could make the final call on the injection spot. She also followed up after the procedure to make sure everything was okay. They gave verbal and written discharge instructions and even validate parking.

My mother came all the way from Virginia to have her second knee replacement here. She has not stopped talking about the spectacular care she received. She was especially appreciative of the attentiveness shown by the anesthesiologist and surgical nurses.

Since being in Atlanta the last 18 years, I have had numerous surgeries both in patient and out. This past Monday, August 24th, I had out patient surgery on my rotator cuff at Resurgens at St Joseph. They have always taken great care of me but this time you would have thought I was royalty. The service was outstanding from the time I checked in to my discharge. Every member of the team was cheerful, helpful, and extremely compassionate. All I can say is WOW!!!!! If you ever are in need of orthopedic surgery you could do no better than the team at Resurgens at St Josep
