Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Knee ArthroscopyA camera and small instruments are inserted through incisions the size of a buttonhole to repair cartilage, trim a torn meniscus, or remove loose fragments. Because the joint is not opened fully, recovery is far faster than traditional open knee surgery.Shoulder ArthroscopyUses a small camera and instruments through tiny incisions to repair the shoulder joint — commonly for impingement, labral tears, or damaged cartilage. Most patients go home the same day and begin physical therapy within the first week.ACL ReconstructionRebuilds the torn anterior cruciate ligament using a graft, since a fully torn ACL does not heal on its own. The surgery itself is outpatient, but returning to cutting and pivoting sports typically takes nine to twelve months of structured rehabilitation.Rotator Cuff RepairReattaches torn tendons in the shoulder to the bone. Pain relief often comes well before strength does — a sling is typical for several weeks and full recovery commonly takes four to six months, with physical therapy doing much of the work.Carpal Tunnel ReleaseCuts the ligament pressing on the median nerve at the wrist to relieve numbness, tingling, and night pain in the hand. The procedure takes about 15 minutes under local anesthesia. Night symptoms often improve immediately; grip strength returns over several weeks.Joint ReplacementDamaged joint surfaces are replaced with implants, most commonly at the knee or hip. Once exclusively a hospital procedure, selected healthy patients now have this done at surgery centers and go home the same day with a structured recovery plan.

I had a shoulder procedure done here yesterday. Everyone from the moment we entered the building was super nice and helpful. Helping me feel more at ease and comfortable. My pre op nurse Natalie was amazing. She had to listen to all my nervous chatter and she was there for it. Answered all my questions and kept me comfortable. Dr Rainey the anesthesiologist was amazing and answered all my nervous questions to make me feel more comfortable with the anesthesia. Dr Capito and all the surgical team were wonderful getting me in the OR but that’s all I remember of that process, which is also great! Finally, Olivia and Jessica my post op nurses tom great care of me and made sure my spouse was well informed of post care. All around great experience. I highly recommend AOS and the whole team!

Had an appt on busiest day of the week. Almost no parking places. Walked in to a room that was packed like I had never seen before on any other visits. I figured I would be there for awhile. My normal PA had an emergency so I already know they are short staffed. Do you know I was called right in, got what I needed, proceeded back through the waiting rm on my way out.....and very few ppl left waiting in waiting room. Can you say EFFICIENT?????

So happy I got surgery here. The nurses are so awesome and will keep you informed throughout the whole thing . They are great at managing pain and they are truly pleasant. My nurse was so sweet and would even fill my husband in on things periodically. Gave him and I peace of mind. Overall, I just loved the they operated throughout my entire stay, everyone was super helpful and kind. Extremely pleasant people. Thanks Dr. Jacobs, Dr. Temples, and the entire AOS team.

Received excellent care. Every step was explained to me and each person working on me was personable and kept me as comfortable as humanly possible. I could not have afforded to have this surgery hadn’t they been so willing to work with me with long-term payments to meet my deductible. The last complainer is crazy because they obviously don’t know how to talk to people and express your needs and get your way. There’s certainly no greed going on in this Doctor-owned facility. I sure would’ve had to cancel if they hadn’t negotiated the financials with me.
